While I myself have never so much as listened to a Robbins tape, a friend of mine has reached "master facilitator" status at AR's international events and goes off to Fiji, Hawaii or wherever on a regular basis.

My friend is intelligent, fairly well centered and has a very high opinion of Robbins. Says he, Robbins is a genius at relationships. For whatever that's worth.

There have been quite a few people, at work, who have suggested I listen to this self help / motivation guru's CDs. I have been hesitant because I do not understand how listening to 8 (or whatever the number) discs are going to make some dramatic difference in the way I live my life. Yet these co-workers live by the guy.

I am wondering if people within this forum have any experience or thoughts on his seminars / discs?

Cheers! Ritchie

Haven't heard the cd's.

I cannot even bear the infomercials.

I've not listened to Anthony Robbins (too many teeth), but I gained a lot from listening to the complete set of tapes "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People" by Dr. Steven Covey.

Its mostly common sense, but it never hurts to sharpen the saw.

I found Robbins to be a lot of hype and fluff.

But, I agree with Hooboy on Covey. I've been through his seminar twice - one in person and once on video tape. It is a lot of common sense but it did help me focus and fine-tune elements of my life.

BTW, the Covey sons are drop dead beautiful. I like them almost as much as Donny Osmond. :+

Stick with Oprah and Dr. Phil. Robbins is a crook. Its all about selling a product and then getting others to sell it for you. And I agree with HooBoy. Covey is dynamite.
