The oldest and most reliable place to find Street Hustlers in Chicago is around the corner of La Salle St. and Hubbard St. The whole area within a block in every direction is a Hustler Zone. In the old days there was a rainbow of Hustlers of every color. Today it is exclusively Black Hustlers.

There are a mere handful of Hustlers of every race on Halsted St. one Block north of Addison St. You may have to wait hours before seeing one though. But occasionally you will find 3-4 guys out there. Mostly White and Latin.

As always Guys, be extra careful. Remember my Motto. "When you cum, they must go."

There has not been a hustler on the corner of Lasalle and Hubbard since 1985 or so! The area to cruise is Halsted and Waveland. Also, Broadway between Waveland and Halsted.

Right you are jc. I was sorta surprised to see this thread.

(Can you tell I don't read this section often?)

The "walk" is on Halstead, the closer to the North End the better. But even that's been a pretty paltry selection the last few years. I actually had to fight back the urge to laugh the last time I was approached by street trade on Halstead.

I gave the guy 10 bucks not to bother me.

I grew up in Chicago, in San Diego now. Each time I return to the old 'hood I check out the scene. After the bars close you can sometimes find a guy in front of the Ram. The sreet scene in Chicago is nothing short of awful. The good old days of Stop 69, Gold Coast ( original), Jumbo Jerry's, The St.Francis Hotel and all the other hangouts in the Dearborn/Hubbard area are only sweet menmories now. My first piece of ass was at Chaps on Hubbard Street...anyone remember that place? Shit I'm an old fuck!!!

Halstead & Waveland!!! Just a couple of blocks from where I used to live back in the 70s. How times (and neighborhoods) change.

P.S. Deej: What's a classy guy like you doing on a thread like this?

ROFLMAO!

I saw a message as it came through the queue and felt the need to respond. Otherwise I might not have known about this thread.

And, hey, I've hired my share of street trade over the years. In fact, back in the "good old days" before there was such a thing as escort ads I hired boys off the street in DC quite often. There was a block right across the street from the bus station that was packed with "talent" at all hours.

That was almost all gone and The Blade had started a special section just for escort ads about the time I left.

The Chicago street scene is pretty dismal. Fortunately, Gay Chicago Magazine has a HUGE section of escort ads. And there's a steady stream of touring "dancers" as well as the weekly pornstar headliner at MansCountry.

There's plenty of "fun" here in the Windy City.

Yeah, most of the gay action is now located on Halstead between Belmont and the end of Halstead to the north. Rush street downtown is a mere shadow of its former self. Heck, even the Al Capone museum is gone.

The good news is that being a "gay club" is no longer risky. The city even commemorated the boystown strip with appropriately phallic pylons featuring the rainbow colors.

>Shit I'm an old fuck!!!

Nah. Just EXPERIENCED.

JC-

There are still many Hustlers on Hubbard and LaSalle. Granted, the quality is weak. But they are still there in more number than on Halsted.

The best times to go are on Friday and Sat evenings after 9pm.

I don't wanr to get into a battle here but you are leading people down the wrong path with your information. I will restate my position that are no hustlers in that part of town! Plain and simple! In fact, any hustler working that area would indeed starve from a lack of work.

It is so funny that this thread would exist right now, especially this quote, after the weekend expereience I had. (It's particularly funny that I'd even be reading this forum -- I wouldn't have noticed it if I wasn't looking for the "Escorts Only" one.)

Last Saturday after playing football, I went out with some of the guys. The group got smaller and smaller at each bar we visited, and eventually we ended up at the North End (I don't frequent gay bars and had only been there two or three times but I always like it there). We had been drinking for about six hours or so, and I had continually been plied with "just one more" beer, so my trip in the bathroom involved a long piss AND someone calling me on the phone. In other words, I was in there a long time.

When I came out, though, no one I knew was there. (I later found out that the group of four had dispersed when one of them got sick -- the other took him home -- one waited for me, but I must have missed him). Anyway, I was stunned, a little dazed at being ditched, and quite drunk. I stayed in the bar a bit and went outside, not sure where I was going to go next.

In the course of no more than five minutes, just standing outside the North End, pacing trying to decide to go to another bar or take a cab home, I was blatently propositioned by four different men (one single, a cute couple, and another single guy who walked out of Buddy Love's next door specifically to talk to me) -- each made a sly attempt and then a "professional" mention was made when I seemed to ignore the less-overt attempts. (I wasn't ignoring, I was just drunk.)

Now, some other more studly men of the world might have odds like this, tons of offers in such a short amount of time, but this was pretty rapid fire for me. I've been cruised before, of course, but I've only had one "street trade" experience, and that was a special circumstance (involving the downtown Marshall Fields and a foot fetish...) Though I had never heard of near the North End as being a good "street spot", apparently others think otherwise. Be careful if you're just hanging about :)

--Corey

P.S. If you're curious, I, wisely, I think, didn't take any of them men up on their offers (though the cute couple in chaps was tempting). I got my drunk ass in a cab and went home.

Damn! Of all the nights to stay home and relax! :-(

I live about 2 blocks north of the North End and often start an evening there only to end it there as well (with very good intentions to go elsewhere when I started out).

I wonder if I would've recognized you standing there dazed and bewildered. I wonder if you would have remembered my name.

But I would have been #5 to hit on you. }>

Dazed and bewildered is a natural state for me sometime, so it's likely you would have perhaps recognized me (though they tell me I'm better in person. As for remembering your name, I might have -- though I barely remembered mine so it would have been a feat.
