I was more than a bit surprised to see a negative review of Johnny Dean in today's edition. After all, I had given Johnny a fairly glowing endorsement on this board, having rated him as one of the two or three best, out of over 20 guys sampled from the Frontiers masssage/body rubs ads.

The reviewer described Johnny as a "rude,….nellie queen with a bad haircut". Now I’m generally not too crazy about the shaved head look, but that’s where Johnny’s at these days. The bleached blonde look he sports in ads is history. Truth is, what hair he has left would be grey or salt & pepper at best. The "fade" cut is probably the best he can do at this point. Still, he’s plenty cute and he’s got one of the most delicious, tight-ass, well-defined bodies you’ll ever see.

As for being nelly -- well, I guess that’s not far from accurate. He’s a long way from macho. On the other hand, he’s not at all effeminate, nor does he act campy or queeny. He’s just a gentle spirit with a playful innocence about him. I suspect that if Johnny had buried his thick 8 or 9-inch dick into our reviewer’s fat ass, he wouldn’t have had any problem with Johnny’s lack of machismo.

On Johnny’s claimed rudeness, I have to believe the client had that one coming. Most of us have encountered one or more escorts with "attitude". In this case, it sure seems like the client is the one that needed an attitude adjustment. First, he bitches about the apartment building. Granted, it’s far from upscale, but Johnny’s apartment is clean and functional – and who the hell cares if some "middle eastern" looking woman sees you visiting someone in the building.

I think the real problem here is that the client wanted – no, expected – that he would get escort services for the price of a massage. If he had walked into a chiropractor’s office for a massage, would he have asked the masseur to remove his clothes? Would he have been indignant when the masseur covered him up with a towel? I’d hope not.

My feeling is that if you contract for a massage, and you get a decent one from a certified/licensed therapist, you have nothing to complain about. Now, if a guy’s ads promise a highly erotic session, or if he has no clue how to give a massage, then I think it’s fair to expect some other "service" to compensate. However, if what you really want is sex, and you’re not going to be satisfied with anything less, then clearly, you should be hiring an escort.

My advice to this reviewer is simple. If you want your masseur to get turned on and have sex with you for $80, start working out and lose 30 or 40 lbs. My experience suggests that a lot of these guys are more horndog than masseur, but you can’t expect them to get their motors running when you’re badly out of shape. If you’re not willing or able to get in shape, then hire an escort at escort rates.

I too, was VERY surprised by the negative review. I'll save a lot of space and time - and for the most part just agree with what ChefsSaltyChocBalls wrote above.

But I'll add this...I'm an over weight, 45 year old, bi, married guy. I have never had any trouble with Johnny/Stafford's attitude regarding my body, mutual nudity, extras, etc. His space is safe, comforting, *always* with music, *always* with him nude, and the massage itself is very, very good. It's all about respect and chemistry. I give it, and I get it in return.

The client in the negative review sounds like he has some sort of "ax to grind".

I was also surprised with this review. I did an out call so can't comment on his apartment, but he was very polite and very accomodating. He certainly was not shy with me, but I also paid more than $80. As I recall, Johnny seemed like a nice guy to me, our chemistry didn't really click, but that isn't his fault.

Johnny dean one time tried to pick up my boyfriend at Crunch gym. I thought that was cute but my boyfriend thought that was not.

I think Johnny Dean is one lovely piece of pie.:7

Hi SoCal,

I think I may have overstated the point regarding the reviewer's weight being a potential issue. It seems clear that the bigger issue was his attitude. He called Johnny/Stafford for a massage, but it's pretty obvious he expected more.

As you point out, a lot of what happens in these sessions follows from mutual respect. On my first visit with Johnny, he asked me if I wanted a towel to cover up, and I chose to use it initially. Johnny started the session wearing gym shorts, and I would never have dreamed of asking him to remove them. Eventually, he lost the shorts without any prodding from me. Soon thereafter, I lost the towel, which led to some significant prodding from him.
