Not to put too fine a point on this, but F-15's are not carrier-based aircraft. They are land-based and flown by Air Force pilots, not naval aviators. F-14's and F-18's are carrier-based, naval aircraft.

In the post to which I responded, you said, "I sensed no real heat in this thread". I disagree. There is heat in this thread. I do agree that, overall, this is not a heated thread.
