Rio Saunas - my second trip there

I wanted to say that this trip it was amazing how punctual every boy was(kinda like LAShowbiz when you tell him there is a shoe sale at Macy's starting at 9:00 a.m., he's there at 8:55) Dalton was always on time to the minute and Carlos was also, the other guys were never more then 5 to 10 min. late, and the traffice this trip was the worse i had seen it. Normally form the hotel to 117 is a 12-15 min cab ride, this time twice it took 45 minutes.

When i said i was doing it for you guys it was english humour - trying to make out that my indulging myself in a suana was for your benefit and not my own. I guess english humor does not translate very well in text.

The laugh is that when i posted that last post and walked out of the door, who should be walking up the street but viktor (40 minutes late)

 

I waved my watch at him and feigned scolding him. - i said that christ was cloudy and we were going to the naval museum. we went to centro and discovered the museum didnt open for another two hours. We walked in centro but it was 28 degrees and i had dressed in jeans thinking it would be rainy and cold. big mistake i should have put the shorts on.

 

After an hour i was getting a bit sticky and frankly at a loss as to what to do - but when i looked at viktor and saw his tee - shirt i decided i would buy him a new t-shirt and shorts and jacket - nothing expensive but perhaps money he could not spend. He was pleased and we went back to the hotel and showered and fucked. Hmm no problems there with getting that message across. We went back for a meal at the restaurant i went to yesterday which is called La Mole (and not la manga as i previously stated)(pronounced la molly). I had a nice salad and he had steak. he is working tonight so he has finally left but i think he would have stayed for as long as i would have let him. (i didnt exactly throw him out)

 

Sex can be stop/start when you have to search for the dictionary during the middle of it and it does help if the maid does not buzz the door with your laundry just as things are getting steamy LOL

 

Victor was good company during my wanders even if we could not communicate much although he was more like a puppy probably quite content to follow me around. I think next time i go to estacio, if i have not been to christ the redeemer, and he is there i will invite him but i will make it clear that it is not a sexual encounter merely a tourist trip. we shall see.

 

I am definately going back to the naval base as some of those sailors i saw looked hot.

 

Lastly please do not think i am critising dalton or any of the guys here - english people have a victorian attitude sometimes towards sex and will not always speak their mind clearly. mind you this does not explain the non approaches on the beach.

 

My sore bits are not sore now but i am still pinkish so beach is still out of the question - good job it is cloudy then.

 

Tonight its 117 - i feel comfortable there and maybe a meal at (i wont call it jabbas hut or jabba the huts place anymore) that restaurant with the yellow awning. last night it was much busier and had a diverse crowd - should be interesting (though hopefully not in the sense of the chinese curse "may your life be interesting"

Driver - Something that jumped out at me from your earlier post on eating at Curojinha (Sp?) with the two guys, how on earth did you spend R$106? Were you there for hours? Was everyone drinking mixed drinks? Although that's only $30 US, it's really hard to spend that even in a first rate restaurant in Rio.

As an aside, around the corner on Sequria Campos toward Atlantico, is my favorite "regular" restaurant in Rio when I don't have anything else special going on. It's the Sequria Grill and is a buffet plus fresh meat of all varieties. Incredible, fresh array of all kinds of foods including sushi and desserts. (Brazil, if you don't know, has a very large Japanese population - especially Sao Paulo.) Total ticket for 3 generous meals? Maybe R$40 ($10 US)!

Jake... I have spent over 100R at restaurants several times for two people. When I took Antonio (from Rogers) out, it always came out to about 100R... figure a couple cocktails each, coffee, dessert. Those were the nicer restaurants though. I can understand how you would question the Jabba restaurant though (oh, and Driver... CONTINUE calling it the Jabba restaurant... I think that's hysterical). Anyway, the Jabba restaurant from what I recall (I tried to block it out of my mind) was dirt cheap.

 

I once took Antonio for a two scoop sundae and two coffees... I think the bill was 15R... I threw down 25R and started walking. He kept STARING at what I threw down. I kept thinking... yikes, he's gonna want more money by the end of the night! LOL. But he was a true gentleman... anybody there in Rio now, check him out. Total sweetheart.

The restaurant to which Jake alluded is a very good one. ...went there for lunch with a small group of folks and had the buffet plus the special "meat" eating ritual (sorry I did not memorize the event), but you fellows wrote about it when I asked questions regarding food back a few months ago! If you can, Driver, give it a try. When there I was more interested in the "eye candy" than I was the food per se.

Driver, keep up the great reporting!! Having just returned from my first trip to Rio earlier this month, I can relate to much of what you observe. While I had a fantastic time, my experiences didnt quite match some of the reports of other posters. I'm sure part of it is generational....I'm in my 50s and am very late to m4m experiences. As a result, I am somewhat more tentative in my approach than many, though the open atmosphere in the Rio saunas was just what I needed to loosen up a bit.

 

I enjoyed several hours of beach time each day, but never was approached or even cruised by anyone...at least that I noticed. Granted, I wasnt stationed in front of the Copacabana Place, but I wasnt far. And from what I'd read here, I definitely thought the place would be swarming with good looking hustlers looking for some business. Not that I noticed.

 

The saunas were different story. One of the locals at Rogers, who had been pressed into translating duties by a couple of the boys, observed that boys seemed to be swarming around me like bees drawn to honey. I stuck to the going rate, so I'm sure it was just a new face. Nonetheless, it was flattering to be the object of so much attention...at least for awhile.

 

Your "to do" list starting this thread is almost exactly what I'd like to experience too....so I'm delighted to follow your exploits. I'll be returning in a couple of weeks for a second crack at it. Hmm 117 was a good night ain some respects. Fitstly some details at 5pm there were about 25 guys and about 6 clients that i could see but the guys were not pushy at all - a few tentative approaches. I find that with one tattoo on a shoulder a common approach is to point to it and say somethinfg like cheetah or cat and will tell them its a puma etc then they ask for my name.

 

I tend to stay away from the keen ones but tonight will be an exception i will explain a little bit later.

I asked who else was good but marco said whilst there were a lot of guys there, it was not a good night form a clients point of view. i took that to mean he was not impressed with the guys that were there. we talked for quite a while before he went upstairs.

 

I told him i would not go before he came down becuase i wanted to take him for a meal and he agreed. Meanwhiles a guy called nick came over - he appraoches me everytime i go to 117 and at various times and i always say no. when he heard me talking about fernando he said he never would charge more than 50 and nick was very good and he was active and not passive etc etc etc well he has a sweet face but really wasnt me. he was very dark in colour and very muscular with a large chest but someting made me think "what the hell" (i suspect the alcohol as it was approaching 10pm) so i went upstairs with him.

 

He was very good and there was no way he was going to fuck me (he was big) so i decided to do him. now i dont normally go graphic on you guys but i will for a reason. Nick was concerned that i knock back the kaipirhinas and he said they could be dangerous in that they are so strong but i assured him i knew my limits. he took the taxi back with me and dropped me at the hotel - he gave me his mobile (cell) number and his normal phone and siad i was to call him if i had any questions - i think he goes to the sauna many times so he will be a useful contact.

 

on the subject of jabbas hut and the bill price, bear in mind the younger more hungry boys i find will usually eat steak and tend to drink red bull which can be esxpensive. these two seemed to home in on the most expensive items on the menu but i could not blame them.

In my two visits here and all the times at 117 i have never been shown a tarif of rates. Now tonight instead we went to estacio (to my relief) and although it was not a suana ai particularly liked, i was relieved that we did not have to face 117 tonight.

 

Now my portugeuse is very limited but on the computer screen at estacio its look like the desk clerk has to confirm he has shown the tarif to the client. Now i know from this group that there is a card with the rates on it and some guys have been shown it and the desk clerk undelines with his finger that boys are $R50.

 

However my first time in estacio last august the desk clerk went to show it to me but someone next to him held his arm and made him put it away. So when that person went i made the desk clerk get it out again and show it to me fully. He smiled as he knew then that i knew the sgnificance of the card.

 

so tonight i made the desk clerk get the card out and i showed it to louis. Well Louis was the perfect gentleman tonight (3 hours sleep having done us both the world of good). We got to Estacio at 6:00pm

AS he comes here often the consistenty of\ver time was probably important to him in his relationships.

 

Im not sure how much respect we demand from a boy in our one hour relationships.

 

Even paulo tried to persuade me that it was now common practice to pay 50 RS to come on top of 50$ paid but no way a local guy will pay twice. Paulo even tried to beg some money from me saying he had not been busy etc.

 

Now louis is very drunk at this stage and falls for the sob story of the first guy and has broken his own rule and paid him extra 50. I suspect word spreads as his second guy was very disgruntled with the 50 he got. (flavio)

Now i should point out i was sober and two against the crowd is better odds than a drunken one against so many. To be fair the owner came down and when it was explained to him the boy wanted 150 he gave the boy what i think was a bad look, as if to say why have you brought this on us.

 

The house bill was paid so i simply started pushing my argumentative friend to the door and got him out. He wanted to eat around the corner but i thought it safe to get some miles between us.

 

Today louis realises his actions with the first boy has affected the expectations of the later guys and he regrets his actions.

 

We went to the fish restaurant marius in leme for lunch and it was very nice. (sorry louis) Louis has got slightly drunk again and i would not let him take us to the sauna (two more drinks and maybe a repeat of yesterday would happen) - i was feeling a little rough and needed a shave so i suggested a nap at the hotel and for me a shave, shower and a nap. He agreed and has had two hours asleep which i hope will do us both some good.

 

We go to 117 tonight but i have some reservations and am not sure what his recpetion will be - we shall see.

it sounds like fedgewaader its normally a saturday meal with the highligth being a selection of hot pots many based on black beans.

The columbo in centro has it like a buffet with salads and delicacies and about 10 hot pots and many types of cake. You eat as much as you want. Personnaly i avoided the pots with tongues or pigs ears in them but the beef and pork and bean hotpots were lovely last time. Im not sure but it mite be cooked slowly to make the meats tender.

 

Well phillipe came and we ate at scarab on the beach front. they had their buffet on and you weighed you plate after loading it.he had a kiwi kaiprahihna but it was a bit strong for him. it came to R$47 in all with 3 drinks (about $14)

 

He has a child of 9 months but has split up from his wife. All at the tender age of 19. He works six days a week and gets an extra day off every month for R$80 - this fact alone has put all in perspective for me. Thats R$80 for a months work at 6 days a week.

You're right, it's the latter. Except that the saunas aren't really brothels, because the guys don't work for the house. They're independent contractors, so to speak. They have to pay a reduced admission price to get in, plus their drinks and snacks.

Apologies for the late post - reasons later

Ok so its 6pm and im back at the hotel. Now louis has had a minor row with Fabio in the taxi. It seems the fair to the restaurant was one price but the fare back was double. (and the meter was off)

 

LOuis takes exception to this smelling a rat but it seems it a national holiday (holiday of the dead or ghosts or something like that) Hmm not in my guidebook but who can tell.

 

Luckily for luois fabio needs to go home for ther night. so i arrange to meet louis in the reception of the hotel in 5 minutes time.

 

So ten minutes later i am in the reception and no sign of louis (i suspect he is snogging fabio so i allow extra 10 minutes) after 40 minutes fabio leaves the lift and the hotel.another 10 minutes and no sign of louis. so i go to room figuring he will ring me when he is ready though it is past 8:30pm

 

I fall asleep and dont hear louis soft knock at the door - louis goes to 117 and has a good time with anderson plus one other

 

I wake up after an hour feeling colder than i have ever felt before. i am shaking and shivering and covered in sweat. even wrapping myself in the blankets does not warm me. - i am like that until about 8am

next morning breakfast no problem. clocks have gone forward so we have lost an hour. i try to ring phillipe as promised but he has no batteries. I get the 583 bus to the train to christ the redeemer and have a fab morning. Best views for miles. (bus R$1.30 train R$25)

 

When i get back to hotel i find a message from phillipe saying he will ring me later (not much good if i am in sauna) so i ring him and arrange to meet him tommorrow at 10:00am

 

lunch at maxims and then 117 for bingo and boys - we got there early becuase louis has next four days with fabio and will be going into the country so need to leave 117 at 9pm

 

Im not impresseed with the selection at 117 tonight and nealry left early. There was one boy (married 19 and very bel ami type) who louis tried first and said was wonderful. So up to cabine we went and it was clear he would like to be finished quick - he was ok but he was in danger of making me come by kissing me and wanking me at same time. so i put condom on and started t have him. first he does the squirms to no avail then he basically goes all limp. Ordinarily that would not matter but no moans or anything. now i suspect a little cream he used just before we started may have been a painkiller or muscle relaxer but it made things difficult for me.

 

Only by slowing down and touching faces stroking etc could i get going enough to come. oh well

 

A poor night at 117- some new tourists arrrive and are surrounded by the sharks ( all the guys i avoid) poor sods

 

Evening meal at Jabbas place. Sequihna de siri for starter (crab meat mixed with something) followed by garlic and olive pizza (BTW the most expensive dishs there are all fish at R$22 Black lable whisky R$10) ONe local guy i reckon could be jabba was surrounded by guys none of whom were special. Other guys would all say hello to him and mostly move on. Carlos a guy from estacio was not granted a seat at his table.

 

Gagdes turns up and says hello - asks for viktor who isnt here then goes thankfully.

 

Half my pizza is wrapped up in paper for the poor. Poor person #1 is body asleep in middle of sidewalk and is there day and night - i figure a lost cause.

 

Poor person #2 mother with three kids, cannot wake mother gently so i move on

 

Poor person #3 old person in doorway - light tap on sholder wakes the poor girl and i hand her pizza after saying sorry.
