Just returned from 14 days in paradise. I stayed in Copacabana in an apartment owned by Odilo Lima. The apartment is about 4 blocks from the beach and close to everything. The apartment has 24 hour security. However, there was no problem having guest. Security simple telephones to announce your guest. The apartment offers more privacy than a hotel and is certainly larger (unless you get a hotel suite). The apartment consist of a sitting room, a kitchen with a microwave, bath with shower/tub, living room with cable TV and a nice bedroom area with a steel frame bed (I found very important - especially with my favorite - Morenno). Odilo will furnish a cell phone for $50. during your stay. You buy the phone card(s). It is a very comfortable and well decorated apartment. Everything was perfect. I had the pleasure of meeting Odilo yesterday before I left Rio. Your comfort is his concern. I felt much more comfortable in apartment than I would have in a hotel room. And the price is certainly right. Oh, Odilo goes all the way to accommodate - before I left for Rio, he sent 20 business cards with my name, the apartment address, and the cell phone number. Now, that's consideration!!

I'm afraid I have alarming news for you. There's no cure! It's TWENTY YEARS since my first trip to Brazil and I still have it bad, too. And every time I get a glimpse of someone like the twins or Apollus's big Bruce it just gets worse!!!! The only temporary solution is a dose of the "the hair of the dog," but that means another trip to Rio or at least an evening with a charming Brazilian escort wherever you are!
