The above is a very accurate summmary of this thread. I wish it had been posted with the caption "Summary of this thread," then I wouldn't have had to read the thread itself.

Its not an old rumor, it is a fact, and since when was it proven untrue? I must have missed that, so refresh my memory as to when that proof was presented. YOU say you aren't who you are and that's proof?? We all know so give it up already.

Hmmmmm.

Donnie and TT both have about the same number of posts.

TT replied shortly after Donnie posted.

They're both nasty queens.

A co-inkie-dink?

I report, you decided.

JeffOH and Lucky say I'm pickwick and regulation.

ExFartBoy says I'm Lucky.

FFF/JasonCoxx says that I'm Donnie.

Mabye there are NO other posters here besides me - I post as everyone.

I don't know which is more pathetic: that these individuals spend time thinking about whether I post under other names, or that - when "thinking" about it - they're so demonstrably and indescribably wrong. It's very hard to say which is worse.

>They're both nasty queens.

It's amazing, and quite notable, how certain gay men, when they want to insult other gay men, use the term "queen," or otherwise impugn their masculinity. Gay men who are insecure about their own masculinity grasp for these terms when insulting others, because they see themselves as "queens" and girls, and thus want to depict those whom they try to insult as being similarly girl-ish.

You've just described FFF/Jason's entire M.O.

Oops, did I post too soon after TruthTeller? Does that make us one and the same? Or is that another "old rumor that has long since been proven untrue"?

How about who is the MOST PATHETIC? Someone who posts on here cloaked in anonymity. Try having a picture posted on this site and using your real name when posting as I do. I imagine some impotent,Jabba the Hut

type whose bitterness with his own miserable existence is at the root of all his negative comments.

And why even bother to respond to something so "demonstrably and indescribably wrong"?

In honor of Halloween, would someone please drive a stake through the heart of this thread? Donnie/TT have become tedious and it's no longer interesting.

Maybe we should get back to pedophilia - at least it was a topic Donnie/TT could actually discuss in such a way that it almost seemed they knew what they were talking about.

Beseechingly yours,

Dear Jason Coxx (NJ),

Given that you ARE an escort, how can you possibly have said such demeaning things ABOUT escorts? Can't even you admit that that means that you find yourself repulsive?

And, oh, I think some more of your hair just fell out.

I have a propostition for you - and I don't mean the type you're use to posing on elementary school playgrounds.

You're SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO certain that Jason Coxx and I are the same person, aren't cha?

Let's make a bet, shall we?

I will bet you $1000 that Jason Coxx and I are not the same person. I am willing to give the $1000 to HooBoy here in NYC who will hold it in escrow. You will do the same. I will prove to him who I am and will then gladly pocket your $1000. It will be the easiest $1000 I've ever made.

If you're SOOOOOOOOOOOOO sure about us being the same person, then pony up the money big talker. Otherwise, shut the fuck up.

Why not just provide the proof and be done with it? What's the purpose of involving money? I wonder why Jason Coxx hasn't gotten on here to say that he and FFF aren't the same person? HMMM? You're just hoping Donnie won't call your bluff.

Stop This Thead Already

It's 6am Thursday and this is the first chance I have had to read this thread.

First, CT Dick is a great guy! He tips ME when he has a good time.

Second, I'll be happy to put $1,000 in an escrow account to disprove this rumor. I do not know the answer and Fin Fang won't come clean with me in private email.

The facts are clear. Fin Fang Foom has been stalking Rick Munroe and sent him disturbing email. I have copies of it and if I shared it with you, you would agree it borders on sick and certainly is creepy. His public posts here about talking to Rick and taking delight in knowing that Rick didn't know he was the demented Fin Fang Foom is telling enough.

I do not have firm evidence yet that FFF is an escort or anyone of significance. I do not think that matters right now. I do think that his posts here regarding Rick Munroe are enough to discredit anything he writes.

Blind item: What NJ escort asked a NY escort if he could score him some Crystal Meth because he admitted being addicted to it?

Digustingly yours,

HooBoy

Please print these "disturbing" emails for everyone to read and judge them for themselves. I give you complete permission. The only thing I would ask, and you'll be on the honor system here, is that they not be "edited". Please post them as I originally sent them without any omissions or additions.

>His public posts here about

>talking to Rick and taking delight in knowing that Rick

Since you're now calling me "demented", I'm glad to see you haven't lost any of your neutrality or impartiality.

>Blind item: What escort asked Rick Munroe if he could score

That could be any number of escorts. But since you're such good friends with Rick, maybe you could explain to the class why this escort thought Rick would be a good source of Cystal Meth.

Inquiring minds want to know.

Am I just being a little oversensitive, or has HooBoy turned nasty on me and is now making demands for my personal identity that run counter to the "rules" of this site. Maybe I missed it, but has HooBoy ever demanded someone's true identity or else he will search it out and reveal it to whoever he chooses? It's become apparent that he wants to know who I am so he can reveal that to Rick and he will slur friends of mine in the course of pursuing this priviledged information. I know it may seem suicial to "take on" the owner of the site, but I have more going on with my life than this message board and I dedicate more time and energy to replying to calumnies than is probably healthy. So, I'm going to try to wind this up, put the nonsense to rest and hopefully HooBoy will get onboard with me and, in the words of Susan Powter, "STOP THE INSANITY!" And one final insight, I have now TWICE offered to speak with HooBoy on the phone to clear this up. The first time I made the offer he didn't reply to it. He then sent me a threatening email essentially demanding to know who I really am, how I know Rick Munroe and my phone number - and then he'll "call off the investigation". Well let me tell you kids......many of you may not like me but I don't think any of you think I'm dumb. I'm not about to give him my phone number because the first person who will get it will be Rick Munroe and I don't need a bunch of phone calls coming into my apartment. HooBoy has made it painfully clear that he's acting as an agent for Rick Munroe in all of this nonsense and if I wanted to talk to Rick about this I could pick up the phone and call him. But I don't want a scene - and there nothing sinister about wanting some peace and quiet. And, as I nicely tried to tell HooBoy, how I know Rick is, frankly, none of his business.

Simply yours,

FFF

FFF, you're SO fucking ignorant and you apparently think everyone else is also. You Totally gave yourself away when I sent you a message to your inbox addressing you by the name "JASON"(please note:

I used 1st name ONLY)and there are quite a few Jasons reviewed on this site. You wrote back saying that you were NOT Jason Coxx!! Who said you were? You that's who. YOU confirmed what I already knew. And what you said in the e-mails was creepy. You tried to dismiss them as

just something you thought would be funny in your long rambling

explanation a couple of weeks ago. Please, you may be an intelligent man, but you haven't fooled everyone. By the way, we have the same

Dick -

I've been away from M4M for a while because of heavy demands on my time elsewhere. Upon returning and reading some of the current threads I find that the level of unpleasantness seems to have increased, in some places significantly. In some threads, dialog has been replaced by juvenile taunting and vitriol.

Not knowing just where to start, I decided that I would begin by trying to answer your question. I have copied your original post above since this thread has become long and increasingly diverted.

The short answer to your question, of course, is that no, you didn't "deserve" the comments posted by TT and they don't represent fair payback on any scale that measures adult behavior. But I have two more responses, that boil down to (a) consider the source and (b) get a backbone.

In reverse order, get a backbone: have confidence in yourself and in your own worth. Do not allow stupid comments posted in this Message Center or elsewhere to alter or demean the fundamental faith you have in yourself as a good person. When others attack, especially in venues as silly as this one can be, be a rock. You are who you are and nothing that is said here will alter that.

In the same way, do not seek approval here or confirmation of your own worth. If you are a good man, then you will be a good man regardless of the good or bad comments slung your way by people who do not know you. Nothing they can say can harm you, for what they say is not based on any real knowledge of you, but neither should it form an artificial platform upon which to congratulate yourself on what a fine fellow you are.

Continuing that thought a bit further, there is a real danger in trying to take too much from this place: resist that danger. Do not allow M4M to become a center of your life. Real activities in real time with real, live people are far healthier than spending too much time on any Internet site.

Next, consider the source of the comments that annoyed you. Having been around this place for what is becoming a very long time, I find it useful to take things in context. Just as you might overlook an unkind remark said by a friend who wasn't feeling well, an unkind post made by someone is generally thoughtful should often just be forgotten; none of us can be at our best all of the time.

But some posters delight in posting harsh remarks that are clearly designed to illicit responses. TT is one of these people, but by far not the only one. He has proven that he can post remarks that are intelligent and/or amusing, without resorting to insult. Yet he often likes to get down in the gutter and sling insults.

I find that second characteristic to be one which says a great deal about him and nothing at all about the people he insults.

If he were stupid and didn't know better, that would be one thing, but such is not the case. He understands what he is doing and he understands why.

I doubt he uses these tactics in real life, in real conversations; if he did, he would be a very unpleasant person to be around indeed. Instead he seems to be just one more example of those people who find it amusing to use the anonymity provided by the Internet to post remarks that they think are shocking or outrageous or will wound a bitter enemy.

Well, I am not outraged by their remarks or shocked or amused. When I encounter such things, I generally ignore them. Childish behavior, no matter where it's encountered, is still childish. And it's amazing how many adults seem to have forgotten that they're not children any more.

If TT is posting these hurtful remarks to wound, he fails. If he is posting them to try to make himself look amusing, he either fails to consider the feelings of his targets or he simply doesn't care about their feelings. No matter, he still comes across as unfeeling and uncaring.

As I said, a poster's record should be considered in its entirety and TT's is loaded with unkind remarks targeted in many directions. So I discount everything he says and always consider the source. That's unfortunate, because I think he could have provided some good insights that would have been useful here.

Finally, a few comments on other things that have been going on in this thread:

1. The rating system itself is silly and these kinds of episodes were inevitable once it was enabled. The folks who produce the DC Forum software (used here and elsewhere) do a good job but, like other software firms, they need to find a way to continue convincing people to buy new versions of the system. To do that, they add new features, many of which are so marginally related to the original product's function that they add little or no value. (For another example of the same thing, do a survey of whatever word processor you use and see just how many of the functions it provides are ones that you use; most people are around 20% these days.)

The rating system is clearly an example of a feature that was added to get another bell and whistle into the system. I think it's silly and not as helpful as it seems on the surface. People have said that it allows new posters to have a sense of who someone is without having to read their prior posts. I see this as yet another example of substituting other people's judgments for your own and I encourage new posters to go back and read the contributions made by posters who they wish to get to know a litte better. I predict more unhappiness from the rating system.

2. The polls are just another example of a bell and whistle. No matter how constructed, they are going to be extremely unscientific. I sincerely hope that people do not make decisions or cast judgments based on any results derived from them.

3. I don't quite understand the intensity with which some people are determined to know who is posting under different names or just who FFF really is. I have my own suspicions about various duplicate names but they're just suspicions and I don't spend a lot of time worrying about them. If someone feels a need to post here under different names, I feel a little sorry for them: either they need to get more of a life and spend less time posting here or they, too, need to get more of a backbone and be willing to admit to all of their own opinions. In either case, again, their behavior says something about who they are and little more. I suggest people concentrate on more interesting topics.

However, I do find it disturbing that HB has entered the RM/FFF fray. Anonymity is supposed to be guaranteed here and that's a line that all of the people associated with this site should be unwilling to cross, no matter the reason. Precedents are important.

Guest Tampa Yankee

BG,

"The rating system itself is silly and these kinds of episodes were inevitable once it was enabled".

I considered the ratings system a little dicey at first and thought it might cause a little discord around here, and it has surfaced discord that was already here just under the surface, erupting only occasionally.

"People have said that it allows new posters to have a sense of who someone is without having to read their prior posts. I see this as yet another example of substituting other people's judgments for your own and I encourage new posters to go back and read the contributions made by posters who they wish to get to know a little better".

I agree and disagree. I agree that the ratings are of little value to new posters regarding an accurate picture of the ratee since the information is third hand. It may however, provide some incomplete measure of how the community views one. Just what that means is unclear to a newbie though because, as yet, he has no sense of the community.

The ratings do provide first hand information about the rater though -- right from their own finger tips. Just like the escorts response can be quite telling about the escort so the comments of a rater may sometimes offer a glimpse into their personality. True the comments are not very extensive thus any revelation is likely to be limited, but this is not always the case, as some examples demonstrate. Still, I agree the best and most complete information is to be found in the posts -- but often only after a more time consuming survey of the posts, hence the greater info content.

"I predict more unhappiness from the rating system".

You are probably right but it shouldn't be so. Everything you addressed to CT Dick about 'Get a Backbone' applies to the ratee's ratings comments as well. I would add 'Get a Thick Skin' . The measure of ourselves is not found in the pot shots taken by (in your worlds) "those people who find it amusing to use the anonymity provided by the Internet to post remarks that they think are shocking or outrageous or will wound a bitter enemy."

As you and others have pointed out on occasion (this one included) these types of comments say everything about those that make them and little about their targets.

The user ratings are unimportant to the function of this board... I suspect they are no more detrimental either unless we find our skin thinner than is wise for an enviornment like this one.

Welcome back. :-)
