Michael's site is in need of a good up-dating. Many of those escorts have been around the block too long, and the bio information is way off.

 

That said, I had enjoyable dealings with Michael (Bertram) in the past, and found him generally reliable.

There were a number of threads about Amsterdam on this board. Most posters had only good experience with Bertram. My own experience was not satisfactory, but I am in the minority. Mine is a long story, I may post it if I find the time for it. Some of it was due to my lack of experience, but some of the blame was definitely Bertram's (who by the way is a nice guy, but that's not always enough).

I have been in Amsterdam this month and found Bertram to be most help-ful: I have access to "the private site", where you can see explicit

pics of the guys.

By e-mail I informed Bertram about my preferencies and who of the es-

corts I was interested in. He gave me good advice and as a result I

had a very rewarding time with ALEXANDER, a 27-year-old spanish guy,

6'1"/200/8" thick, versatile.

My only problem with Bertram was that he did not pass on any information to the escorts before sending them out, even though I had given him very specific written information about what I wanted them to do. In one case this created an awkward situation, because the escort had come prepared for something very different.

For me it was just the opposite, let me explain:

 

From the website and Bertram I got the info that ALEXANDER's mothertongue is Spanish, but that he is fairly fluent in Italian, his

English on the other hand is rudimentary only.

I mailed my scenario to Bertram in Italian, to be forwarded to the escort. Bertram does not speak Italian, but has had Latin in school, so he understood about 80% of the roleplay. He called me at the hotel,

once the escort was at his office, to make sure that he had fully un-

derstood the scenario.

When the latter showed up at my hotel-room he not only proved to be 100% updated and a great actor, but to my surprise he asked me to do

it in English and "his few lines" were not hesitant at all!!!

 

I had a very good impression of Bertram as a "mama-san" for his men.

 

 

And if it is of any interest, my mothertongue is German, but I'm doing

quite well in English, French and Italian ... hope I did not confuse

anybody on the other side of the North Atlantic!!!

Comments by others pretty much match my own experiences with Bertram.

 

In general, when I hired guys from him, they were good, but often it was a struggle getting the ones I wanted or for whom I specifically requested, often way in advance.

 

And on one occasion, he sent me a substitute who was an absolute disaster: not clean (down below needed a thorough industrial strength washing), a bit of a child, loud, and I almost suspect on something to make him so "happy". Then again, on another "blind date" he hooked me up with BRAD (visiting from Toronto) who turned out to be a wonderful surprise.

 

On yet another occasion, I wanted to create a scene, and it was going to cost me. I spent weeks e-mailing Bertram on the specifics, on the guys I would be interested in, but we kept getting mixed signals. As my actual arrival in Amsterdam was less than 48 hours away he wrote saying he was having difficulty setting up what I wanted, as I wanted it. (Let me say... it was not anything wild or weird: I wanted 3 muscular youngish guys who would have gym attire - including jock straps. Kind of "Coach and his boys" scene.)

 

Despite Bertram knowing me and I would assume knowing my taste in guys, of the 3 only one was really good: one was totally "gay for pay" (a type I dislike a lot, and on top, carrying quite a bit of baby fat still), and one was so frightened to be in a 3- or 4-way he was literally shaking (and not muscular, but rather slim, if not skinny). I became so preoccupied for him I pretty much was tuned out on the whole scene. To top it off, the shaking guy - nice as he was - was turned off by ANY talk whatsoever on sports.

 

And... to top it all off... none of the guys had gym gear. So the two hours were without the scene at all. Expensive "change" if you ask me.

 

I hope at the same time that people understand too that Bertram is a very nice guy. He is extremely helpful, but I get the impression his "boys" work behind his back too, have cluttered appointment books, and somehow, out of town bookings do not become "reservations" in the strict sense.

 

Because of this, I often prefer dealing with the escorts directly, especially now that I am more familiar with the scene in Amsterdam. BUT for a first time visitor, I would say : stick with Bertram, as he has the most reputable of the agencies. AND AVOID PEOPLE!!!

Sorry. It never occurred to me that someone had to check that something subversive wasn't being said in another language. (For the record, all I said to ortrud was that I had written to to Bertram in English, but he didn't tell the escort anything in English or Dutch.)
