I suspect you have not been to India before. It is a fairly homophobic society, and gay life is extremely closeted. Since even straight society generally disapproves of alchohol, there are no real gay bars or clubs, nor will you find escorts advertising. Most unmarried Indian men live with their families, and will probably be uncomfortable being seen with you, since a westerner automatically attracts attention which they would rather avoid. By the way, don't be misled by all those men on the streets holding hands: it's considered perfectly normal for straight male friends to show a lot of physical affection in public, but obscene for a man and woman to do so--"East is East..."etc.
