I felt the same way. I thought (and think) it was odd that pretty much everybody here was OK with his statements.

I wouldn't call you a coward, Raul. There's no need to comment on everything that's said on a message board, especially one which we escorts use to promote our business. Now, I did comment (in addition to his racist posts, I also "loved" the one where he said that the Jews dominate and control the world silently in the background, which really bothered me because my parents have too much power over me already :p ), but I don't think that makes me "courageous," especially when nobody seemed to notice or care.

Sometimes statements are so outrageous or so ignorant that commenting on them only serves to give them a credence that would not be their's otherwise. I think the statements made by this poster fall into that category and further discussion of him and his lunacy lend to them and him, and importance they do not merit.

We are best served by silently turning away.

Hmmm...I see where you're coming from, but I also think that ignoring statements like that is what gives them validity, as if others are in agreement. I guess it depends on how you look at it.

>I said "fucked by big black cocks" ...

I guess, to you, that's an important distinction. So you'd get fucked by big black cocks (but not, I assume, by small black cocks) but you wouldn't be friends with a black person. I get it now. Thanks for clarifying.

>should try it too, Doug69, it may help you.

It may "help" me? So I have some sort of "problem" that needs help because I am attempting to understand what you're talking about when you say you enjoy John's racist posts. So, you enjoy and appreciate John's "frankness" when it comes to blacks, Asians, and "old queen" clients, but you don't enjoy and appreciate "frankness" when it's directed at Steven Draker. Got it. Thanks for defining "hypocrite" for the class.

But, of course, you keep those opinions to yourself and instead, proclaim that you "enjoy and appreciate" his posts.

>Yet

>the MC is a forum for diverse views, and I respect

>2hard2tame's putting himself out there

But you don't respect it if anyone says anything even slightly critical of the self-described "World Class" Steven Draker.

>pushing the envelope,

>opening himself up to possible bigtime flaming. It was that

So, do you also enjoy it when, say, Fred Phelps says things like "God hates fags" or "AIDS cures fags"? Or when Jerry Falwell blamed gays for 9/11? Or when James Dobson says gay marriage will destroy the world? They're sure pushing that envelope, opening themselves up to attack, and just being so gosh-darn honest and frank. Or do you only appreciate "frankness and honesty" when it is applied, as John did, to blacks, Asians and Jews?

Of course, you will have something snide and facetious to say in reply, because you can't stand it if someone says anything to you that isn't fawning and worshipful. You enjoy "frankness and honesty" as long as you are not on the receiving end of it.

It's very revealing that you chose to ignore the first part of my post, and only addressed the second part about your travel posts. The more you say (or don't say), the deeper the hole you dig for youself.

Purplekow you had said, "Sometimes statements are so outrageous or so ignorant that commenting on them only serves to give them a credence that would not be their's otherwise. That is the route that I have taken on the offensive things that John has said, and that others have said.

The more I think about it, I guess when people are silent, it can be misconstrued as being condoning, and most if not all the people here would not condone what John has said, when he has made verbal his attacks.

and revealing of you in how you put words in other peoples mouths with your ludicrous interpretations of their comments and condemn others for actions you do yourself. The more you say (or don't say), the deeper the hole you dig for yourself.

The Japanese language has a useful term for this: "mokusatsu." Roughly it means to treat a person or situation with silent contempt.
