The latins seem to have a word for everything, as the French would say "le mot juste". You're right that a true courtesan makes the whole process look effortless. The problem for me in idealizing these guys is that they are likely to jack up their prices! Call me a crass mercantalist but as an Anglo-Saxon bred in the bone, I get flinty-eyed when I think I am being over-charged for any good or service (the main exception being art when I have been known to lose my head). So I like to keep things real and would fail miserably as a "sugar-daddy" or whatever it is they call these people who can afford a courtesan or "homme parfait" or whatever you want to call them. :-(
