Just discovered the Chat feature of this site (thank you, Zach). I suppose I only thought it worked for the organized conversations set up by HooBoy. Wrong. Just click on "Chat" in the menu above; wait for the "chat" button to appear; follow the simple instructions; select the M4M Escort Review room and log on.

 

Hardly anybody seems to be using this feature. There are lots of regulars here that I'd like to talk with in real time. I did have a nice short discussion of Budapest with CMP, but most of the time over the past few days it has been empty.

 

Why not check out the Chat Room when you visit the Message Center.

Meeting someone in the chatroom feels better than on the message board: it is a bit like a phone conversation as opposed to notes pinned onto a billboard - much nicer and more personal.

There are some people, like me, and I suspect like Regulation and Will, who have some trouble thinking in such short bursts as is common in the chat room, at least during the official chats. I don't mind doing the private notes in the inbox thingy, but please don't take it personally if there are some of us you just aren't going to see over in the chat room. I have tried to get in to the chat feature several times, and each time my system has frozen. I use aol 6.0 on Windows ME in a HP Pavilion 8756C. This system has numerous freeze-ups every day on aol. I am not a computer type, and don't understand the technical stuff, but there must be some reason why the chat feature consistently freezes things. Any help is appreciated.

That particular chat engine is flaky. But it's free. HooBoy has said before that's the main reason he uses it. ;-)

It's like taking the car in to the garage. You ask for help and the problem isn't there. It just worked for me, but not a soul present. I'll keep checking it out.

Since you're using AOL, do yourself a favor.

 

Once you connect, MINIMIZE AOL and open Internet Explorer. (Double-click on the blue "e" on your desktop.) Your web surfing will go much better.
