In looking through the reviews today, I noticed Angelo De Costa had submitted a response to a review. I'd be interested in seeing how others feel about the review, response, and Daddy's clarification.

The review was submitted by a first time reviewer. I personally felt he tried to be objective. He provides several positive comments about Angelo from his sexy voice and handsome body to the statements, "...Angelo trys very hard to satisfy his clients... He was so exciting I decided to hire him again the following day."

The reviewer concludes with, "In short, Angelo is a sexy accomodating young man... he is worth the wait."

So, why was it a negative review? Because:

[ol] Angelo was difficult to contact (including the first appointment that was rescheduled and the follow-up appointment that didn't occur because he never called back).

Angelo was hired as a top and unable to perform as a top.

Clients must "...have the patience to put up with his unprofessional behavior." [/ol]

The client/reviewer goes on to provide an honest description of himself. (IMHO, this only adds credibility to the reviewer because it appears he has nothing to hide.)

Angelo responds by claiming the event never happened and states the client posted "...a false review". He states the meeting couldn't have occurred since "...My ad clearly states I am in Los angeles. I have been here since the 17th of march." However, the client claims they met in SF during February so the claim of being in LA during March is meaningless (in my opinion).

Angelo goes on to further disrespect the client by stating, "...I do believe in karma and their are so many people out there who are into hurting another individual because they can't have or be what another person has or have, remember people jealousy gets you no where."

"..So I hope that the client who wrote the review is satisfied and happy with what he did. and I really feel sorry for you that you would attempt to write a bad review about a nice and cool guy. I wish you well in the future and pray that you are careful with what you say about another escort because the next one may not be as nice as me."

My personal observation is that Angelo never really provided any believable response to a very specific and balanced review. IMHO, I'm baffled by the statement that his response was being "nice" to the reviewer and insinuating other escorts may not be as nice.

Boy, that reeks of intimidation and a bully mentality.

A final interesting note is that Daddy added a clarification to Angelo's response. Daddy pointed out the correct timeframe of the meeting (something Angelo totally ignored). Daddy also stated that a positive review about Angelo was received the same day as the response and "...from the same computer." To me, that speaks volumes about the escort.

In short, I'm very happy with the way Daddy handled both the review and the response. I believe this is the same way HooBoy would have handled the situation and I'm glad the tradition is continuing. To me, the reviews are the most important part of this site and I'm glad things remain the same!

I agree with you fully. The response tended to verify all the negative aspects of the review. It's far better when the escort admits the truth of the criticisms, takes it in stride and promises to improve in the future. Issuing blanket denials, and then posting fraudulent reviews smacks of the behavior we all too often see in our politicians. The cover up/denial is always worse than the original "crime."

I was tremendously impressed with the reviewer. Writing a negative review is difficult and he pulled it off with dignity. He informs about the good points, and spells out the bad points without histrionics or name-calling.

It's a model we should all follow should we ever (God forbid!) need it. To resurrect a coined phrase, he comes off as "Honest in our judgements, truthful in our reporting". :-)

The only departure from the Hooboy model is that Hooboy would have put the "flag" icon and comment at the top of the review page. I prefer the way Daddy put it in-line instead.

>A response like Angelo's gives credence to what the reviewer

PRECISELY! Angelo responded to me in my last email to him in which I castisgated him on his actions in cancelling two "in" appointments at the very last minute.

Apparently, this young guy, regardless of his looks and dick size, has MUCH, MUCH to learn about escorting and the manner in which he treats and relates to his clients!!!!!

Don't hold your breath waiting for a clarification

When in doubt I whip it out :+
