Last night a friend and I ventured into the seedy Tom-Kat theatre on Santa Monica Blvd. To see Micheal Brandon,Matt Sizemore,Cal Kenedy,and Damian Ford in a live show.

This was only my second visit to the Tom-Kat.It was as delapitated as I recalled.

The Performers were "plugging"a new film produced by Brandon.

They all got naked(except Ford-who only took of his shirt and stayed off to the side for most of the evening)and at one point really went to town with a bottom boy from the film-Brando eventually shot a load which landed on some of the Patrons in the first row.

The evening was full of technical screw-ups-the only spotlights for the stage were some flashlights held by some of the support staff.

If the Kit-Kat wants to hold events like this in the future they need to get their act together.

The Performers all had very good energy levels-but I still prefer The Nob Hill or the Campus in S.F. for live shows.

Damian is actually very not an exhibitionist, unlike Michael. I know Deej went to this event but does not have his lap top with him so I would like to hear his take on it.

 

When I volunteered to do outreach for the Gay and Lesbian Film Festival last year (free time, do something productive!), I dropped programs and flyers there. They were under "new" management at the time. If I recall the Nob Hill, it is very seedy, but that was years ago, and the Campus has been going slowly but irretrieveably down hill since it changed name and hands.

 

I do not think the L.A.P.D. would permit much like this to happen, if they are willing to go outside their jurisdiction and entrap escorts to Long Beach, wasting tax payer money on a hotel room, long distance and so forth, to get Los Angeles based escorts to a different city to arrest them. While the Tom Katt is within the City of West Hollywood and WH is not LAPD, I think they run certain risks if they were to do more events like this in the Los Angeles County area.

 

How did Matt Sizemore look? Is he recovering nicely from his accident? I have not seen him since before then and that time, he was fully dressed.

Yes, I was there (with the adorable Athan in tow).

 

The venue was clearly not prepared, technology-wise, to host such an event. They just don't have the lighting to handle it. It was a learning experience for all involved and we talked about how to improve the next event afterwards.

 

The performers were certainly prepared to perform but without the flashes from photographers nobody could see anything.

 

Matt Sizemore has been nearly 100% since I last saw him at the Bad Boys Pool Party in Palm Springs. (And what a sweet hug he gave me!)

 

This was first and foremost a Michael Brandon event which means there are three rules: 1) Monster will get hard, 2) Monster will be accessible, and 3) Monster will spray the willing.

 

Afterwards, of course, Monster was available for groping, sucking, or whatever in the lounge. Michael just sorta lets Monster drive. Pictures from the evening will be online at cockring.org shortly.

 

It was an OK event but the real fun was going to French Market for dinner with the stars and a few other invitees. (Us included.) Everyone just got giggly and had fun.

 

And then I took Athan back to the hotel and fucked his brains out.

 

It was a good evening.

Damian is a sweetheart and a gourmet chef for hire. And I love him for what he is.

 

But he's no exhibitionist.

 

Here's a cute little thing ... he HATES having his hands shown in the videos he makes. At some point during dinner, discussion turned to the old wives' tale that dick size is indicated by hand size. (Specifically from the tip of the "FU" finger to the base of the hand.)

And I remember (years ago back when they had real headliners)Damian Ford gave a great show-with lots and lots of audience participation at the then wonderful Campus theatre in San Francisco.I had a great time working his lovely unit to full mast.

BigGuy the Tomkat does have some charm to it. For someone who hangs out at the Spotlight I'm a little surprised to hear your comments about the place. Sure it's somewhat rundown and they never have been able to get-it-together for live performances yet some of the young guys that hang out there are amazing . When I lived in So California I had met many a twink in this place ... most of them Asian or Latino :9

The AVN-GAVN awards shows always have a bevy of Hot guys,as do the pool parties.

I paid my money, walked in, did a visual perusal of the place (one customer and several guys of no particular description jacking off) and walked out-- slamming the door grandly and disappointingly.
