I heard from Bruno Gaucho that he may be coming to New York about a week earlier than previously expected, maybe around April 12. He will post the precise dates in Escort Travels when they are confirmed.

It seems he misses us and can’t wait to come back. :) :9

Note to woodlawn: Since you seem to be so concerned about posts by people who don't know and haven't seen the escort in question, please be advised that I have seen Bruno Gaucho in the flesh - all of it - and I am personally acquainted with him. And I have been in direct communication with him. Does that qualify me to pass along information about him to others on this board that might be interested in knowing it or in commenting on it or on him?

Note to the Trash Bruno Mafia: I am exercising the right of a member of the Message Center to comment in the Deli on an escort - and that includes his appearance, performance, plans, personal qualities, attitude, sharing news, and anything else about him - just as many other posters have done with many other escorts. Maybe your unilateral and unauthorized invention of what you claim as "the rules" of the Deli doesn't allow that. *My* unilateral and unauthorized interpretation of the *existing* rules of the Deli *does*. If you don't like it, tough. If HooBoy (whose interpretation of the rules is the only valid one) doesn't like it he will delete it.

>It seems he misses us and can’t wait to come back.

Right. He has developed a deep and meaningful emotional attachment to guys he can't converse with freely. Talk about DELUSION!! The ONLY guy he really misses is Benjamin Franklin.

WELL! I guess that settles THAT!

Finally yours,

And why shouldn't Bruno miss Ben Franklin? Are you suggesting that other escorts are indifferent to him? Last time I noticed, escorting was still a business, not a charity project! Although I think a lot of escorts must have very charitable natures to put up with some of the clients they run into. Like some who constantly post right on this very website! }(

Anyway, looks like cardiac ICUs across the country had better get ready, because Bruno's fans will be going back into palpitations with this newsflash!

No. He's attracted by our good looks, hard bodies and big dicks, just like every other escort. :7

RIGHT ON! You are consistently one of the few voices of sanity in this place. No single statement could sum it up so concisely! That goes not only for Bruno, but the majority of escorts as well.

Unfortunately, as the proliferation of Bruno is, Bruno says, Bruno does, Bruno will be doing threads in the mc can attest to this will never be settled. They sprout up just like toadstools after a summer rain.

I could never understand why saying the most innocuous, banal comment about BG or his threads gets you branded as trying to trash the guy. Of course most of that branding comes from those with an elitist attitude because they speak Portugese or hang out in Rio where they get great bang (all ways) for the buck considering the exchange rate and for "truly altruistic reasons" wouldn't think of ruining the local economy or impeding action for the local clients by being an "ugly American who would leave a tip". I don't see where any of them have hired him at his $200/hr 2 hour minimum while he is visiting here as of yet, I haven't seen any of their reviews.

Thanks FFF for giving me something to reply to, because I want to definitely do my part to aid this marketing campaign by once again bumping this thread to the top of the queue. I do this because I truly am not a trasher. :)

Hey, since I'm in a generous mood tonight I'll post again to keep this thread as close to the top of the queue as possible.

>Although I think a lot of escorts must have very

>charitable natures to put up with some of the clients they run

>into.

Really, you think that way? That is so naive! At 200 bucks or more an hour it should be fairly easy to be "charitable". BTW doesn't charitable mean giving? In my experience, I have yet to meet an escort who "gave it away" whether that was the sex or the time.

Doesn't matter what the personal feelings are, without the old cnotes it is "adios, hasta la vista". Of course, this doesn't apply when visting third world countries where the action only costs a few sawbucks, no tip expected.

>Anyway, looks like cardiac ICUs across the country had better

>get ready, because Bruno's fans will be going back into

>palpitations with this newsflash!

Perhaps, all the mortuaries had better get ready also, as obviously being with this guy is so great that you will die from sheer ecstasy (and I'm not referring to the pharmaceutical kind). Also, I thought a "newsflash" was an unexpected, important event that merited interruption of normal events, not an oft publicized, super hyped publicity notice.

Oh gee, I guess I'll be branded a trasher again, just for speaking the truth. Oh well, if so then put me in the 'white trailer park trash" category.

:)

Well, you're coming pretty close by attacking the motives of people who like Bruno. Your comments about the guys here who visit South America are also off the mark.

If you'll revisit the posts about fair payments and tipping in South America, I don't think you'll find ANY that urge people not to tip. In fact, people have been urged to tip appropriately. The standard price for a "programa" at the saunas in Rio and São Paulo is R$50. A 15% - 20% for particularly good performance is a generous tip in countries where the standard tip in restaurants and other service establishments is 10%. M4Mers have also been urged to tip the towelboys and barmen at the sauna R$5. Locals ordinarily don't tip them, and these guys don't usually expect tips, so they appreciate a little something extra.

Without wanting to re-open the old polemics, the posts basically urge foreign visitors not to distort the local market by paying vastly higher-than-normal escort fees or tipping excessively. At this time, the local market (and escort fees at the sauna are pretty close to pure capitalism at work) has arrived at R$50 as an appropriate fee-for-service. You can be sure that if the local market would bear more than that, the charge would be higher. It's not appropriate to pay someone in Brazil at U.S. or European rates just because that's what the same service would cost at home. If it were appropriate, then logic would dictate that foreign visitors pay for everything in Brazil at the rate it costs them back home, including hotels, restaurants, taxis, buses/subways, etc., in spite of their posted rates. Obviously, that would be absurd, as would be paying a guy at the saunas in Brazil US$350 for a half-hour roll in the hay because that's the going price in N.Y.! (By the way, at the current rate of exchange, US$350 = R$1225, or six times the current MONTHLY minimum wage in Brazil, just to put things into further perspective.)

Incidentally, I wouldn't be surprised if the R$50 standard fee doesn't end up going up to something like R$60 - 70 in the not-too-distant future to keep up with inflation, which is making a reappearance in Brazil, even if it isn't at the hyper-inflationary rates of the recent past. Annual inflation in Brazil is currently running in the 12% range.

Just about anytime works for coffee, now that I'm retired. ;) At least while I'm in town: I'm leaving next Thursday for three months in Brazil. E-mail me, and we can see about getting together. Sunday noon is out; I've already got a brunch date with SFTraveler. Later. . .

Apologies to Daddy and to all. Including whoever was outraged at my flagrant insertion of a phrase in Portuguese into an English post.

As I recall, the censored offending phrase said something like

"Speak for yourself! Why do you think that nobody here can converse freely with Bruno?"

I committed the sin of writing it in Portuguese just to show that I was not just making an empty claim or blowing smoke. Otherwise, given the way some people here attack Bruno and everything connected with him, I wouldn't have been surprised if somebody had accused me of making up the claim with no justification. And I guess I was depending on the recognition of words like "conversar" and "Bruno" in the context of the quoted remark to get the idea across. But I should have at least translated it. Mea culpa! Mea maxima culpa! (Oops, I Did It Again... does that count as non-English too? It's used in English discourse and writings but it obviously has "some kinda furrin origin." I'll say a few extra Hail Marys and hope that it will slide through.)

The Portuguese phrase is gone, but the remark still stands and is valid. Quite a few people here seem to know at least some Portuguese. Also, anybody who speaks Spanish (much more widely-known) can fairly easily communicate with someone who speaks Portuguese, each speaking the language that he knows.

And, by the way, Bruno DOES speak a fair amount of English. Fully fluent? No. But neither are the grandmothers of many people here on this board - grandmothers who may have been living in this country for 20, 30, 40 years or more. (No, TBM, I don't NECESSARILY mean grandmothers. But I'm sure you get the idea, even if you try to pretend that you don't.) Many of us run into people every day who speak broken or rudimentary English, and yet they manage to communicate with us and vice versa.

It's amazing how people WHO HAVE NEVER MET BRUNO AND CLAIM THAT THEY HAVE NO DESIRE TO DO SO keep insisting that he doesn't speak English or doesn't speak it well enough. Just another example of the lengths to which the TBM (Trash Bruno Mafia) will go to tear down a sweet kid towards whom they have developed an irrational and consuming antipathy.

Hey, thanks, VaHawk! I knew we could count on you not to let a remark about Bruno pass without comment and to help keep this thread alive.

>>The ONLY guy he really misses is Benjamin Franklin.

>RIGHT ON! ... That goes not only for Bruno, but the majority of

Gee, do you suppose that it's because SOME people here are interested in and attracted to Bruno, even if you're not? And there seem to be a lot more of them than you - so maybe they are entitled to post about "Bruno is, Bruno says, Bruno does, Bruno will be doing." Last I heard, that's what The Deli is supposed to be for.

>I could never understand why saying the most innocuous, banal

>comment about BG or his threads gets you branded as trying to

>trash the guy.

"Innocuous" and "banal" are not the words that apply to the constant outpourings of bile and outraged rantings that appear on just about any thread or comment about Bruno, and that get repeated over and over by the same few people. And the constant repetition of the same tired old off-key song has as much to do with trashing as the actual content of the message.

>Of course most of that branding comes from

>those with an elitist attitude because they speak Portugese

Yeah, I suppose a redneck would consider someone who speaks another language to be "elitist".

Hey, that's a great segue! Now why don't you just continue venting your spleen about that tired old topic instead (and take it to the Lounge) and stop berating Bruno.

>I don't see where any of

Maybe it's because he isn't here yet. He's still in Brazil. He will arrive here about April 12. That's what the original post on this very thread was trying to tell you. But I suppose you didn't bother to read it. You got as far as "Bruno Gaucho", saw red, and raced to dump on him again.

(P.S.: Thanks for giving me the chance to remind everyone that he will be arriving around April 12. :) Are you sure you're not getting paid for this?)

Thanks again, Va. We all keep counting on you and you sure deliver.

Right. And if he gives it away he's not an escort - he's a fuck buddy. So why berate Bruno for doing it for the money?

Tsk, tsk, Va. English only. The language police are gonna getcha.

Read the original post and its topic line (as I suggested elsewhere on this thread when you seemed not to know what it says). It doesn't say it's a "newsflash," just information. Is it still OK to convey information in a post?

It IS unexpected, since the original date was supposed to be later.

It IS important to at least some people here who want to see Bruno.

It DID NOT interrupt any normal events.

It IS NOT an oft-publicized notice - this was the first mention of his change in plans and as such was an entirely new piece of information.

>Oh gee, I guess I'll be branded a trasher again, just for

>speaking the truth.

No - for continually harping on a pet peeve of yours which most others don't find objectionable. Although, actually, this post is less trashy than most of your others about Bruno.

>Oh well, if so then put me in the 'white

>trailer park trash" category.

No sooner said than done.

Yes, I wrote and asked him and as of today Bruno says that he is still planning to be in SF May 5-12 and LA May 12-19. :9 He doesn't have the reservations yet so it may change by a day or so one way or the other.

His email provider has been having problems and he says that sometimes emails seem to disappear into cyberspace without getting to him. (I know that from personal experience since a couple of mine never got to him too. :( ) They seem to get lost in a black hole over the Amazon or maybe in the Bermuda Triangle on the way from here to there. That's why he opened a new email account on yahoo in the US (announced here a little while ago): brunogaucho4u@yahoo.com .

He is usually very good about answering emails so if you haven't heard back from him I'd suggest writing again and maybe use his yahoo address to avoid having your email eaten by the piranhas. :+
