just saw this article about Blade Thompson

http://avn.digitalod.com/query/?for=news&eid=10749

(kind of a shame because I always thought he was incredible hot. Has anyone ever had an encounter with Blade?)

After reading that and seeing on the Cody Foster thread that he was reportedly in jail, it made me wonder which pornstars have been in the pokey? I know I heard that Jack Dillon (a man I still fantasize about) was behind bars (if anyone knows the reason or if that rumor is true please tell what ou know), but waht other porn stars also served time? I believe Tim Lowe did but I cannot remember what for. (Biy, could this thread be any tackier?)

I have never "been with" Blade, but I spoke with him for a minute or so many years ago when he did a show at the Campus Theater in San Francisco. His strip-act was very lame but I still thought he looked adorable. He was even more adorable in the lobby signing autographs. He indulged me by signing two pictures for a friend in another state, writing provocative stuff that caused my friend to gush profusely over the phone. It was probably his best birthday present to that date! lol.

Of course just because someone "seems nice," whether for two minutes or two years or two decades, doesn't mean much. I particularly recall Jeffrey Dahmer's neighbors' shock and statements that he seemed like a "quiet, nice guy."

Tim Lowe was in jail for the death of a client during a particularly rough scene. He was eventually acquitted, if memory serves, but nobody would work with him after that.

Michael Brandon did drug-related prison time (and he admits it in public) and cleaned himself up to become one of the most respected guys in porn. You'll NEVER see him in a water sports scene because he spent several years peeing in a cup in front of a parole officer. He's sensitized.

I am *amazed* that AVN would run Blade's real name. I assume they don't want any interview opportunites in the future. Assuming there is a future ... can you imagine facing judge and jury on terrorist charges post-9/11?

Yes, I believe that the client (actually Tim's sugar-daddy du jour)

died from a heart attack while (consensually) tied up after doing

more drugs than were evidently good for him.

Thinking (correctly) that all of this would be a little hard to

explain to the cops, Tim and his girlfriend took off in the guy's

car.

I'm pretty sure that in the end he wasn't convicted of anything

connected with the death itself, but I think he did some time for

stealing the car and some credit cards etc.

Believe me, when Blade is released, should he have additional product to be promoted, he will do interviews with AVN or anyone else that is interested. That's the way it works in "legit" entertainment too. Do you think Winona Ryder will avoid all of the news outlets that blasted about her illegal drug use and shoplifting? No way, it's impossible. I'm a big fan of Blade Thompson, I had planned on connecting with him through David Forrest (Forest?) but I guess that will have to wait...I wonder if this means Blade was stalking his girlfriend? When will these straight boys learn...

Maybe. Maybe not.

Pornowood doesn't run like Hollywood. (Well, not quite.) There are far more petty ego clashes in porn. They matter far less, but affect the business far more.

For example, there is a columnist/reviewer right now who refuses to review videos from Raging Stallion because of head honcho Chris Ward's vocal opposition to barebacking in porn. Not exactly objective journalism! Can you imagine E! or Roger Ebert refusing to review the latest blockbuster because of the producer's stand on abortion?

In a lot of ways, porn is like sausage. Enjoy the end product, but don't ask too much about how it's made. :9

Tower Records refused to carry all MCA distributed releases in the early 80s. This was in protest of a 1.00 increase in record prices. The protest lasted 2 months and only ended when MCA recinded the increase.

Exactly - that was a *business* decision based on Tower's (correct)

belief that they were a sufficiently important outlet that they

didn't have to accept MCA's new pricing. It *wasn't* an emotional

decision based on the *content* of the MCA releases, or personal

dislike of some MCA executive.

So Blade Thompson is really Andreas Kube. His parents didn't name him "Blade?" I am shocked and betrayed. I will never watch another porno flick again.

The worst part about this is where Andy is being held. Has anyone ever been in Indio, Calif.? I have. It's a shit hole. On the other hand, maybe a good venue for some jail porn ... which I will never watch again because they are lying about their names. :+
