I don't know how possible this would be, but if the field holds enough characters, perhaps the fee field could be changed to "$___ as of XX/XX/XX" on the previous reviews. That way it would be clear that the fee had been changed after the review was written and posted and reflected the current, not past, rate.

I still like being able to see how fees progress over time (or, in many instances, remain stable), so my preference would be for this field to remain unchanged. Still, as others have pointed out, this is HooBoy's site and he can decide to do whatever he wants. I am just a guest here.

deej,

Maybe it is a lose-lose situation. The issue is what is going to be lost? If the information content of my review or yours is changed because of someone else being the squeaky wheel what have WE lost -- not just the contributing reviewers but the readers as well.

>He's screwed either way he goes. :-( If he doesn't make the

>people here get steamed.

Hoo gets a lot of abuse I know. However, he weathers it pretty well -- better than I would -- and I've seen him handle some pretty strong onslaughts. He's up to it.

Moreover, the issue here is larger than who pisses and moans the loudest. It goes to principle. to the heart of the review itself -- the information content submitted by the subjective reviewer. It should not be altered by third parties or the escort. Rebutals by escorts are allowed and if Hoo wants to add a comment, as he already does on some, I have no problem with that -- just don't destroy the original content.

Hi guys. Let me hopefully put an end to the confusion :-)

I recently wrote hooboy an email requesting that he change my rate prices. I have decided to raise them for new clients only (regulars or clients I've seen in the past will be given the same rate price they were originally given) for several reasons. Therefore, it was necessary for him to change the rate prices listed on all reviews so that new prospective clients wouldn't think I was trying to "hustle" them when they read that my rates were 200/800 and then hear a difference from me. Make sense?

So I apologize if this has upset anyone, but let me assure my regulars that nothing will ever change for you :)

Thanks everyone

Brian

Wow... I didn't realize how much of a conspiracy this has caused!! I posted my previous message before reading the whole board.

Well guys, if it's really that important to all of you, I will ask hooboy to change the rates back and spend time filtering through all of the bargain shoppers on the phone when I try to explain the descrepancy. I just thought it would make things a little easier for all parties involved if prospective clients had all current relevant information.

Again, sorry for the upset... I just thought I was doing the RIGHT thing.

As Paul Harvey always says, "Now you know the REST of the story..."

I still think all this hooplah could be avoided, leaving the majority happy by including any pertinent informational changes, including rate changes (or maybe I should just say increases - do they EVER go down? I know - don't go there ;-)) in a message at the top of an escort's individual review page as is already done when an escort comes back into the business after semi-retirement, or changes a webpage, pic, phone contact, etc.

This should be clear enough for people to read and understand, and if they don't well - tough! :)

OK, I'm the guy that posted Brian's latest review (#10).

First of all let me start out by saying that Brian is worth whatever he wants to charge! It's up to us clients to hire or not to hire. If your wallet can't support what an escort is charging, then find one you can afford. As a business man, when I increase my pricing to my clients, I send a note stating so. Brian was doing just that.

Brian is very professional, and treats what he does as a business. Brian and I were together last night (04/03), and I paid him the regular rate of 200, he never mentoned a price increase to me. However, I totally support his price increase, and if he wants to charge me 250 it's up to me to crack open my wallet and pay the man. At least I'm certain that I'll have a huge smile on my face when I'm counting out the cash!!!

RE: Changing Escort Fees - To Ritchie

I have recently made a request to all the escort/companion sites that I'm listed on to make those rate increases for me. Until today, I hadn't been aware that any had changes had been made, and I've been checking regularly. Hooboy has been the first out of all the sites to make that change, and I didn't realize he had (except for forgetting to change the most recent) until your messages were brought to my attention. So,until the changes had been made, I have still been quoting 200/800 as I feel it is only fair (false advertising, yadda yadda).

I can assure you that hooboy is not "playing favorites" and this in no way is any sort of "conspiracy" against you; the client, or anyone else for that matter. I simply thought it was the RIGHT and FAIR thing to do. I've always been a firm believer of being up-front and honest without any need to b.s., and I feel a conflict in rates listed would give prospectives clients the impression that I'm trying to hustle them. Understand that if I don't have them changed, my initial interractions with prospective clients would change from being a "getting to know each other" conversation to a "damage control" discussion. Your opinions have been observed, and again, I apologize for the obvious distress this has caused you. But don't place the blame on Hooboy. It was my request and he is doing what he thinks is the right thing too.

Thanks
