Happy NYC Pride! Great collection of queer novels. I just finished Martyr! by Kaveh Akbar. Amazing generational journey of family secrets and self-discovery. Tangled back and forth between rural Indiana, Iran and Park Slope, Brooklyn.

Is this list an intentional Joke?  I Feel as if the person who made it knows only contemporary books, most of which aren't very good (Martyr! is a strong book, but I'm not sure it's a very good book), and those few (actually, just one) historical books assigned to her or him in college.  This list made me sad.

It's limited to the books from this publisher (Penguin RB) that's why.  Highlighting some of the authors under the imprint.

Fair statement! I think that’s what drew me to the list, even though it’s a purely Penguin list . Looking for some undiscovered authors. IMHO Akbar has a lot of promise, loved Martyr! Moving on to Ocean Vuong’s The Emperor of Gladness.

Yeah, afterward I realized that I was railing against a Penguin Advertisement, lol.
