Happy NYC Pride! Great collection of queer novels. I just finished Martyr! by Kaveh Akbar. Amazing generational journey of family secrets and self-discovery. Tangled back and forth between rural Indiana, Iran and Park Slope, Brooklyn.

Is this list an intentional Joke?  I Feel as if the person who made it knows only contemporary books, most of which aren't very good (Martyr! is a strong book, but I'm not sure it's a very good book), and those few (actually, just one) historical books assigned to her or him in college.  This list made me sad.
