White House UFC fight, sports thoughts

With chants of "51st state" when a Canadian was in the ring, and a tired, unoriginal jab from a fighter who won claiming Michelle Obama is a man in his post-fight speech, triggering raucous laughter from the audience, I seriously wonder why in the fuck any women deliberately pro-create with rude assholes like these.

 

I enjoy watching sports at home, and with people now risking being beaten for rooting for the road teams if they go in person, it's a travesty what sports has now become. Seeing commercials telling people to behave themselves at their kid's competitions - how sad this is even a thing. For the abuse they take, sports officials should be paid higher than the highest paid athletes.

I share your disdain.  The only rationale that comes to my mind is "birds of a feather flock together."

These things self select others of the same mind so nothing surprising there.  Just a sad sad scene.  Endlessly having to apologize for the stupidity to friends from other countries.  Sad.
