nomad Posted May 31 Posted May 31 Until 2023, homosexuality was illegal and punishable up to 2 years in prison. It has been decriminalized now. However, police can harass you easily and fine you. It remains a very conservative society. He was arrested, pleaded guilty and fined for pornography. He got huge amount of free PR from the arrest. Gained a lot of followers during that period. May have caused some embarrassment to his family, but it was a shred marketing move in my opinion.
