FLFunSized Posted April 27 Posted April 27 I’m traveling back to London end of this week and can’t wait for an extended visit to the Victoria and Albert Museum. They’ve got a nice collection from Rodin. I became an admirer of his when I was in art school. His life story is really amazing and inspiring. My favorite of his sculptures is “Age of Bronze”, not just for the subject matter but for its own story and his masterful craftsmanship. + Vegas_Millennial and Jeff224 2
keefer Posted April 28 Posted April 28 Don't miss the Raphael Cartoons, the Cast Rooms (fakes 😇), and the Glass Galleries (especially the Roman glass)... if you have an hour to spare - walking to the Natural History Museum and visiting the wildlife photographer of the year exhibition is well worth your time, and if you have a few minutes more go up to the vault on the first floor for the coloured diamond exhibition. sutherland Posted May 8 Posted May 8 Room 91 with the jewels and tiaras was some nice eye candy for me. Also rooms 65-69 for English silver keefer 1

I would love to visit sometime, it's far away from me but I believe I can make it happen someday

nomad Posted Monday at 10:35 AM Posted Monday at 10:35 AM There is a room with fakes. Really interesting. Fascinating to learn about the items and some of their history of the items. Often overlooked with all the priceless items on display but worth checking out. keefer 1

nomad Posted Monday at 09:15 PM Posted Monday at 09:15 PM It was really interesting. To the untrained eye (and even to expert eyes) the fakes look so legit.
