It’s funny, what makes us tick. As a short guy, I’m the opposite of you. If I’m attracted to a taller guy, I imagine topping him. If I’m attracted to a smaller guy, I imagine bottoming for him.

At 5’3” there aren’t too many guys shorter than me. I do prefer a taller man though, like 6’+, especially with a leaner build. I consider myself versatile but there is something hot about topping a guy that big. Unfortunately my height has been a barrier for some on more than one occasion. I get it, I just wish there was more tact in dealing with the situation.

I recently hired a new provider. Communication with him was very good and I had a good feeling about meeting him. When I asked what forms of payment he took he gave me the usual electronic sources and then added “Amazon gift cards”. It seemed funny at first but the more I thought about it the more it made sense for both of us. No “paper trail” this way for either of us. So I’m just wondering, what are the downsides to this type of transaction? Would you as a provider consider it a red flag if someone offered to pay you this way?

If the ad states “text only no calls” or something like that then I will look for a number and text them. Otherwise I’ll do the RM message. I prefer the provider to tell me exactly how they want to be contacted.

I’m traveling back to London end of this week and can’t wait for an extended visit to the Victoria and Albert Museum. They’ve got a nice collection from Rodin. I became an admirer of his when I was in art school. His life story is really amazing and inspiring. My favorite of his sculptures is “Age of Bronze”, not just for the subject matter but for its own story and his masterful craftsmanship.

I am thankfully now in a house where the yard/landscape are taken care of by a service. For years I’ve preferred potted plants anyway, easy to replace or move around when I get the whim. I’ve taken more to succulents since the home is a “Santa Barbara” style and they look great around here. I’m in Florida so they mostly do well. I like experimenting with different ones to see how they do. This year we had some record temps, two days in the 20’s, so I lost a few.

And some are even affluent and conservative! Those I’ve met in other countries don’t really seem that interested in any of that in my experience!
