skynyc Posted April 6 Posted April 6 I've not been on for awhile, but had to mention that the current Death of a Salesman with Nathan Lane and Laurie Metcalf at the Winter Garden is the best of the six productions I've seen over the years. Lane is lost from the first scene...he doesn't grow into his instability. Metcalf and Christopher Abbott who plays Biff are both extraordinary. Joe Mantello's direction is spare and very effective. Runs 2:50 with an intermission, and I didn't look at my watch once. + Just Sayin, thomas, + ApexNomad and 1 other 1 2 1
+ Vegas_Millennial Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I saw Death of Salesman last night with Nathan Lane and Laurie Metcalf, and was glued to the performance the entire time. I'm not much for dramas, but this story and acting were well executed and I was in tears by the second half. Great production. + Just Sayin and thomas 1 1
+ Just Sayin Posted 39 minutes ago Posted 39 minutes ago (edited) There was a profile of Laurie Metcalf a couple of weeks ago in The New Yorker and then a PBS Newshour interview with Nathan Lane and Ms. Metcalf earlier this week; after reading one and seeing the other, I would like to see it.
