100K; $100US, more or less, at the time. He did order the most expensive items on the menu and my take, if you will, was that the sommelier and he had a business relationship of sorts.

Back in 1984, I found myself in SoCal for work and decided to visit LA from San Diego. I called a new hotel on Sunset Blvd, La Belle Age, for a single. They gave me a $1200 room rate (in 1984!?). I said, Oh, I'm sorry. I just wanted the room for one night, not the weekly rate. Later I realized that all that fuss going on at the LA Coliseum as I drove past it was the opening ceremony of the Summer Olympics.

I don't think this young man quite merits this degree of mark-up. (BTW, I ate that room rate but I'm not swallowing his.)

He was very busy in Toronto and filmed at least five videos. From the bits I saw on Twitter he looks pretty good.

He was visiting NYC earlier this year.  He gave me a "menu" on RM messenger.  Said $500/hr or $800 for BFE (per hour?) or $1500 for two hours with permission to film.  

 

I just found it confusing, and my schedule got busier so I just passed.

He definitely took advantage of the trip. "Worked" with damn near all the big guns in the city.
