+ Lucky Posted December 22 Posted December 22 Are the Guidelines prohibiting the posting of copyrighted material being enforced at all, or just sporadically? A poster told me that he posts copyrighted material because he saw someone else do it. I think it is best to avoid posting such stuff. + Vegas_Millennial 1
RadioRob Posted December 22 Posted December 22 Technically ANY image/video posted that was not personally created by the person is copyrighted. That would also include screenshots of ads etc. Now with that said, there is a legal process where if someone makes a claim to said content, it can be removed. That is defined through the DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act) process. As long as the service provider (us) follows that process, we are protected from liability by its Safe Harbor rules. We make it simple to submit a DMCA request by including a form in the site footer that gathers all of the things required to submit a proper/formal request without guessing or only submitting partial information needed to process the request. + Vegas_Millennial, + Lucky and + Charlie 1 2
