DenverDad Posted December 10 Posted December 10 So AFTER I had gifted a membership for a provider, RM is telling me that I have to upload my driver's license picture, a hand written note, etc or else my account (which is paid until next April) will be disabled. Is this new? Don't live in a state where verification is needed for adult sites.
BuffaloKyle Posted December 10 Posted December 10 I've heard that happening with a recurring payment plan which is why I always do just a one time payment. I guess it happens as well with gifting. I think I read on here from someone to message RM support that you are not comfortable with doing any of that then they'll waive that requirement and you'll be fine. DenverDad 1
DenverDad Posted December 10 Author Posted December 10 Thank you! From now on, I'll just send the provider the money instead. Hopefully RM support will respond soon. + KensingtonHomo 1
+ Alabastrine Posted December 10 Posted December 10 it's getting to the point where KYC is probably going to be rolled out everywhere eventually. It's already going overboard, having to prove you're not a minor to use a weather app is such douchebaggery. Papers, papers please.... DMonDude 1
DenverDad Posted December 10 Author Posted December 10 RM’s response: Be informed that the payment verification request is not a new process, but it may not trigger for every transaction. Our system performs additional verification only when required by the payment processor for security and fraud-prevention reasons.

In each case I emailed th RM webmaster an explained I was not going to comply with their request due to privacy and security reasons, and I also explained that I could see the charge went through on my credit card. They’ve been satisfied with that every time! DenverDad, Pd1_jap, + Alabastrine and 1 other 1 1 2

I let the provider know and told him I'd just send him the cash instead in the future.
