Today is the 25th anniversary of my wife's passing.  She was and is the love of my life.  Enjoying men came to me late in life and only after her passing.

I had a hallucinogen dream last night with lots of symbolism and I woke up feeling as though I was still out of my body.  After a mug of coffee and three bottles of water with breakfast, I was feeling improved.  I went to the garage, still in a bit of haze to check on laundry I needed to fold.  When I got there, I decided to open one of my unopened boxes from my move to help get that cleanup done.  The wash from last night went into the dryer but I delayed the folding of the dried clothing and instead, I opened the box.  The first thing in the box was a crucifix which was quite beautiful but not something I recognized seeing before.  I attributed that to my haziness and put it aside.  The next item was a silver tray, again something that I had not seen in the past.  The third item was a plaque that read "25th Anniversary".  Again something that I had never seen.  I must admit to being a skeptic, but these items were all new to me, as was everything else in the box.  They certainly harkened to the occasion.

So is this a message from beyond, or just a very crazy coincidence?

I think i may have posted about another odd coincidence concerning an avatar and name in a words with friends opponent who came and left without a word, figuratively and literally,  and that those also spoke very directly about my wife in a very specific way.

I feel that perhaps I am looking at something that is not there, but it certainly goes beyond expected coincidence.

By the way, the box may have been from my wife's move from an apartment she had close to her job or it may have been from my mother's home.  In either case, the box would have been unopened for for more than 30 years.

It is what you feel it to be but it is profound either way

My mother was not a particularly inspirational or intellectual person.  When she died, written in her hand writing, I found a note by her chair saying “strength in body, courage in spirit, patience in pain”

That was written for me to read in that moment.

I've had some odd and (to me) inexplicable things happen over the course of my life.  It may have been a coincidence that those various items had all been packed the way they were packed, but I don't think it was necessarily a coincidence that you came across them when you did.  I don't think the people we love are trying to reach us from beyond the grave - I hope they are too filled with joy wherever they are to be bothered with this plane of existence any longer, and they also know it's just the blink of an eye compared to eternity before we're with them again.  But that doesn't mean you weren't led by something bigger to find that box when you did, in my opinion.
