It was nice and the Evening Citizen was dark and cozy and a great place to talk with classic American Songbook songs by the greats such as Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Tony Bennet etc.  Granted you had brought quite the distraction with you, but he easily joined the conversation and added a youthful energy to counteract my natural curmudgeonliness.  Also, I do not believe I thanked you for picking up the check.  Very generous considering at that place, you pay for the drinks and the ambiance.
