Retaining RentMen chats

There is a fairly high profile escort who is high on my fantasy hire wish list. (Also in high demand, I'm sure.)  He visited and advertised in my town in January and I decided to go for it. I contacted him on the Rentmen message board, giving my real name and phone number in case he preferred to communicate via text.  He responded to me on the board, and we began a pleasant back-and-forth trying to hammer out a time. (He was only visiting for a week.) Alas, we never reached a time or day that worked for both of us. His online demeanor lived up to his nice guy reputation and he expressed his regret that we couldn't work things out.

Flash forward to last week and I see that he was once again visiting my town (for five days). I decided to give it another try.  Now when I have a text/conversation with someone on the Rentmen message boards, I tend to 'keep' the conversation in my account.  But it occurred to me that the escort himself doesn't necessarily retain the page in his account.  In fact, I assume he deletes it, otherwise he may have a million 'chats' going on. Therefore, when I approached  the same escort this time, I guess I kind of wrote it as if it was our first time contact, without mentioning our prior text chat. Although I did give my real name and phone number again.

This time I got zero response, which seems to be my lot in life. I was a bit surprised by that with this particular provider because he seemed so friendly and responsive when we 'chatted' on RM in January. I wonder if a better approach from me this time would have been to treat my latest inquiry as a continuation of our previous friendly exchange, which is essentially what it was. But I didn't want to assume he remembered me, especially if he deleted our chat on his end.

Anyway, it got me to wondering if any providers generally 'keep' their chats in their RM account, or do they delete them right away?  On my end, as a client, I find it helps to keep them as a point of reference.

I'm sure the answer to this is 'every one is different'. Just pondering here on a lazy Sunday afternoon. 🙂

I think the answer as you guessed is everyone’s different. But it’s also worth remembering that escorts likely receive far more messages than clients do. So it makes sense some might delete chats just to stay organized or avoid clutter.

Next time, I’d say go ahead and treat it as a continuation. Something like:

“Hi, we spoke back in January. I see you’re visiting again. I was hoping we could finally arrange a time. How does [insert date/time] look?”

That way you jog their memory while making it easy for them to respond. Nothing wrong with giving a little context. Good luck.

Thanks; this is exactly how I should have handled it. I can be so stupid sometimes. Hope I get another chance with this provider.
