He was ostensibly (okay, obviously) promoting himself on this site about a week ago as an over the moon “client”, got called out, and pulled down the post. His RM “reviews” indicate fantasy rates of $1k per hour or more. 

I would proceed with great caution.

Sent an email from RMasseur asking about location and rates.  Got a location answer, but no rate info, and since then a stream of solicitations for 2-handed, 4-handed, and even for a video pack.  Has gone from slightly amusing to slightly annoying.

I agree.  I clicked on his Rentmasseur profile once and the solicitations were endless.  I don't mind someone reaching out but this was excessive.

likewise: clicked ONCE on one of their profiles (i have no idea which) and have been treated to an endless, obtuse, relentless and confusing barrage of solicitations and texts for services by one or both of them, over multiple name changes. now they want to sell me videos. i can't imagine what it would be like if i had actually met either one of them.

Looks like these two conman are back. I sent a deposit when they were in NYC while I was there for a wedding. Took the deposit, then Blocked me! I reported them to the rentmasseur site, not that it did any good but you have been warned.

If you’ve previously contacted a provider and no longer wish to receive communication from them, the solution is very simple: say you’re no longer interested or block the profile. There is absolutely no need to demean, ridicule, or attack someone personally.

@Terpmaniac, regarding your statement: are you certain about what you are claiming? If you genuinely paid us a deposit and believe you are owed a refund, please contact me privately with the receipt/proof of payment and the details of the booking. If there is a legitimate unresolved payment, my partner and I will be more than willing to review it and make it right.

What I will not accept, however, is having our honesty or character publicly questioned without evidence.

We have invested years of our lives, time, energy and resources into what we do. We take our work seriously, we care about the experience we provide, and we have built relationships with clients who return to us and recommend us. Whether we have changed an advertising name, adjusted our strategy, worked solo or together, none of that gives anyone the right to make personal attacks or present assumptions as facts.

And regarding our rates: nobody is obligated to agree with them. Nobody is obligated to book us. If our pricing isn’t for you, that is completely fine. Simply move on. What two consenting adults privately agree to pay and receive is between them; it doesn’t require the approval of strangers on a forum.

I would also ask some of you to reverse the situation for a moment. Imagine that a potential client contacted you in your own profession, you responded professionally, and afterward they went online to mock your work, your prices, your character or the way you earn your living. Would you consider that reasonable?

Being a provider does not make someone less deserving of respect, dignity or basic human decency. Being the person hiring—or considering hiring—someone does not make you superior to them.

I came back to NYC and reached out here because I genuinely enjoy what I do. I approach my clients with care, discretion and respect, whether I am working solo or with a partner. The people who have actually spent time with me are capable of judging the quality of that experience for themselves.

Constructive criticism is one thing. Disagreement is completely fine. But speculation, personal attacks and unnecessary cruelty are something else entirely.

You don’t have to like me. You don’t have to book me. You certainly don’t have to agree with my prices. But disagreement does not require disrespect.

There is already enough hostility in the world. I wish everyone here a little more empathy, a little less judgment, and a lot more respect for one another.

 @BrazilianDOM This is a forum where members share information and provide feedback about providers. This enables us to make informed decisions as we go about pursuing our favorite avocation.

There is absolutely nothing demeaning, ridiculing, speculative, or unnecessarily cruel (all your words) when longtime COM members point out some of your questionable business practices (although, as with everything else, that will be up to the discretion of the site moderators).  Many of these posts are by longtime COM members with unquestionable credibility who have had personal interactions with you. In this case, Bozo finds it tremendously valuable to know that you: bombard potential clients' in-boxes with solicitations after clicking on your ad; are a frequent name-changer; and in at least one instance, failed to return a deposit and then blocked the guy. 

All of the posts on this thread seem to be fair and legitimate. There is no reason to get defensive. Just put on your big-boy pants and use it as a learning tool.
