I understand your feelings about Lagoa. There really has been very little effort or investment made in the place and it's very run down. I like the guys there and that makes the difference for me. The guys I like, I meet up with outside.  I haven't had much experience in Rio but what I did have was fairly mechanical. I need to explore more. I've not had great luck online in Brazil. About half the guys I contacted either ghosted me after they found out I was "mature" or flaked on me.
