Mr TJ Massages in Tijuana - Massage, Turkish Bath and more!

I recently visited Mr. TJ Masajes y Terapia Física, a massage center with two branches: one in Zona Río, located in a more upscale area, and another in Zona Centro, surrounded by shops and near bus stops. I chose to visit the Zona Centro location because of its Turkish bath service, which is not available at the Zona Río branch.

The entrance to the Zona Centro branch is modest, marked by a small door leading to a staircase. Upon ascending, you’re greeted behind a glass partition with a friendly and professional welcome. It’s highly recommended to book an appointment in advance, as walk-ins might find no masseurs available. Fortunately, scheduling is simple—the team responds quickly through Instagram or WhatsApp, offering efficient and professional service.

At the Zona Centro location, there’s a small waiting area near the entrance. A hallway connects to four private rooms equipped with massage beds. The space is clean and simple—not luxurious, but it serves its purpose well. At the end of the hallway, there’s a dedicated area for Turkish baths, which can accommodate two clients simultaneously. They also have a larger massage area designed for sessions involving 4 or 8 hands, ideal for those seeking a more intricate experience.

My masseur, Mr. Adrian, provided good service and was generous in his approach. The massage was enjoyable, though not as deep as I’d expected; I’d rate it a B-. If you prefer more pressure, be sure to request it specifically, as the team appears accommodating. I opted for the tantric massage, which was thorough and well-executed. Mr. Adrian was generous with his body, offering MT, HE, and more. I’m confident the experience could have gone further based on how accommodating he was.

They have two Instagram profiles depending on the branch:

Cool! Yeah, it’s pretty straightforward. If you need more info, just let me know. It was my first time getting a massage in Tijuana, so I didn’t know what to expect. Overall, it was a good experience, and you really can’t beat the prices—around $80 for a sensual / erotic massage. And if Latin guys are your thing, even better!

This is great info!  Thanks for putting it together. Logistically from San Diego, did you park and walk across and Uber?  I’m more curious about the Turkish Bath option and will report back if I have time for border crossing, etc.

The Zona Río IG page has a video of an 8-handed massage But it's way too intricate for me. 😅

Each of the four masseurs is applying a different type of technique rather than working in a coordinated manner. I'd be way too confused and distracted to actually enjoy that session! I hope it's not how they actually do it and for marketing purposes only.

I didn’t, but I guess you totally could! I didn’t know any of the guys, so I just booked with whoever was available when I wanted the appointment. But for future visits, I’m pretty sure you can request a specific masseur if you have a favorite. The only catch is they don’t exactly have a "menu" of options. It’s more like a scavenger hunt across their IG page and stories to spot the lineup!

If you cross at San Ysidro by foot it looks like a 10 min uber ride. I messaged them on instagram and they were very helpful clarifying the location and choosing a masseur. I messaged in Spanish using google translate. I’ll report back on my experience, hoping to go soon! Thanks @7829V!

So far, I’ve only experienced a two-hand massage—just one masseur. But an 8-handed massage? That sounds less like relaxation and more like a wrestling match with way too many participants! I’d spend the entire time trying to figure out who’s poking, prodding, or pulling where.  I don’t think I could survive a full-on human octopus attack!

Cool, yeah, I always drive. I have Mexican car insurance and a SENTRI pass, so that makes things much easier. Your plan sounds great too, though! If I were you, I’d make a day of it and check out some dining or bars while you’re in Tijuana. If you’re heading to Zona Río or Centro, both areas are packed with amazing restaurants and bars—you’ll have plenty to choose from!

For those unfamiliar with driving in Tijuana, walking is an easy and efficient way to cross the border. Walking across is quick, you avoid traffic coming back into the US, and you can safely use Uber in Mexico and most cell phone plans work in Mexico for free without changing any settings.

I usually drive since I have Mexican insurance and know my way around Tijuana. When I go to Zona Centro, I always park in the lot by the former Jai Alai and just walk from there. I try to time my trips to avoid the hassle of crossing into Mexico during peak hours—Friday evenings or nights are a nightmare now. I used to go on Fridays all the time years ago, but not anymore. These days, I stick to Saturday or Sunday mornings.

For the way back, I have SENTRI, so getting back into the U.S. is quick and easy. If driving isn’t your thing, you can always park on the U.S. side (or take the trolley that stops right at the border), walk into Mexico, and use Uber to get around., just like @Dr.Daddy suggested.

I went to the Centro location for a tantric massage.  I didn't ask for anyone by name. By chance, my masseur was Mr. Adrian (I believe the same masseur 7 had).   I completely agree with 7's review above.   I'd give the massage a B- (slightly above average) but the erotic elements an A 😀.   I plan to repeat.  

(I  wish there were some other way to book appointments other than Instagram.  I asked if there was a WhatsApp number but they didn't offer one. But it could have been the language barrier since I don't speak Spanish.)

Great to hear! Yes, they have a WhatsApp number. In my case, they seemed to be big fans of WhatsApp—they preferred to book the appointment through it. They gave me all the initial details on Instagram but asked for my number to confirm via WhatsApp. On the day of the appointment, they even sent me a WhatsApp message to make sure I was still going. It’s like they wanted to make absolutely sure I wouldn’t bail on them at the last minute!

I do speak Spanish, so maybe the person handling WhatsApp only speaks Spanish? Who knows—but I’m glad it went smoothly for you.

I want to try the Turkish bath, but I’ll wait for the weather to warm up a little. I’d rather not step out of the steam and feel like I’m reenacting a scene from Frozen!

Thanks for the great detailed info @7829V   Is their target customer the gay male? Their marketing looks very professional and reminds me of some Thai spas that look professional but we know what is offered behind closed doors.

Did they have a menu of services? Or a website? Their IG is majority Reels.  

Yes, their target audience is primarily gay clientele, especially at the Centro location. They mentioned that at the Zona Río branch, they do accept female customers, but not at the Centro branch. Their ads and marketing are clearly aimed at a gay audience. Honestly, based on their marketing, I’d guess their female clientele is less than 5%.

The menu of options I posted earlier explicitly includes the tantric massage, which is sensual and erotic in nature. For reference, here it is again. They don’t have a website, just Instagram and Facebook:

In Mexico, the approach to these things is more relaxed. Even prostitution is tolerated and regulated. Escorts are required to have a health ID card, which confirms they undergo regular health check-ups. Additionally, government employees visit establishments offering these services to ensure compliance with health screening regulations.
