Hiring in Colombia

Hello all—title says it all.

I'm visiting Medellin in the spring, as part of a month-long South American trip. I'm hoping to hear from others who have hired in Colombia regarding precautions that I should take. I speak intermediate-level Spanish and travel solo, so I'm significantly more cautious than cavalier. I've read about Passport Bros getting drugged, robbed, and sometimes even killed, from going on Tinder dates, that's why I hesitate.

Is hiring from Rentmen any better than setting up a date via dating apps?

(I'm visiting Colombia regardless of prospects of fun. So if you think it's better that I hold off on the sex until I get to another country, no problem.)

Visited Bogata in Fall of 2023. I felt very safe going to saunas there and found men to hire. Perhaps Medellin is similar.

I had amazing experiences in both cities, but I have heard bad stories before. I am curious about @bigdaddy's.

I had a positive experience in Bogota using mileroticos.com.  I am intermediate to advanced in Spanish (non-white tourist of South Asian descent). My advice is to only meet the guys in your hotel for safety. The sex worker will most likely have to register at the reception and it's best not to hide things from hotel staff.   Sometimes you get charged a fee for a "companion" however it is definitely worth the security. Lock your passport and valuables in the hotel safe. I found gorgeous male providers who are super affordable ($50 usd to $80 usd), and affectionate with 5-star service that definitely go "above and beyond" compared to providers in the States.
