Eyes Wide Shut (1999)

I was watching Godfather II tonight when I noticed Eyes Wide Shut was streaming on Showtime.  I thought for a second then switched over.

I know some consider it a lesser Kubrick movie, but it appeals to me.  Perhaps anyone could have played Dr. Hartford successfully under Kubrick's direction.  But for me, Tom Cruise was exceptional.  When I think of Cruise, Eyes Wide Shut comes to mind first with a couple other of his roles.

But tonight what struck me most was how good Alan Cummings was as the desk clerk.  Love him. ❤️
