Streisand is the queen of bloat. Apparently someone was afraid to tell her that nobody reads anymore.

Not true for Cher fans - her memoir (about 400 pages for 'Part 1') has remained at the top spot for non-fiction books through most of the holiday season.

Problem with Streisand's was that it should've been released about 20 years earlier, when her fan base was still alive. Releasing this at 81 - not many of her original fan base is still around.

There's only one Cher. Plus, Cher offers a lifetime of dirt. She had sex with many more Hollywood men than Streisand did, and she's fully open to spilling the beans. Streisand is far more private and reserved.

Since Cher's book only covers the 60s and 70s (I just finished part one), I would say it's Streisand for the win on who had sex with more men for those two decades. Cher had four : Sonny (whom she stayed faithful to, even though he cheated on her), then some 21 year old guy named Billy (?) who was in her band (first time she cheated on Sonny in the early 70s, and she told him she wanted to have sex with the younger guy), then David Geffen when she was officially separated from Sonny, and then Greg Allman when she was officially divorced.

Streisand had many affairs during her first two decades, from her costars to her music directors for her early albums (Peter Matz). I was very surprised to read this.

I'm sure Streisand was not under-sexed. Rumor has it she needed a large cock to get pleasure. My gut is telling me that Streisand will handle sex discussion a bit differently than Cher. Also, Streisand is not aging well, and she hasn't gone the distance on plastic surgery the way Cher has. I have no clue how their current "looks" drives youth appeal. I think both books deserve a read, but I'm almost their age. Plus, Cher offers club remixes. Streisand showed little interest in dance music.
