I like Kathy Bates, but I couldn't get past Ep 2. I thought the writing was terrible, and the casting even worse. Typical Network TV schlock. Never saw the original.

Agree.  Gave up after S1 E2.

I feel your pain. I watched the first 1 1/3 episodes of BOOTS.

I'm loving it.  I was hooked from the first episode.  Kathy Bates can wring the last drop from whatever role she agrees to portray.

Loved tonight's episode.  Earlier this year Mrs. Julian guest starred and tonight Mr. Olympia made a brief appearance.

The finale probably could've been done just as well in 90 minutes, but it was satisfying enough. In the end, I think the switch from Billy to Hunter was a net positive.
