I was thinking about LA for Labor Day, but the guys I've tried to contact are mostly unresponsive.

That said, years ago, in the mid-90s and early 2000s, I recall getting emails (as crude as they were) discussing flight deals where you could travel last minute. I'm fairly sure it was a US Airways program.

So my question is: Why is there not a website where you can put in your dates and where you are departing from? Then, the site aggregates all the destinations, and you can sort by price, airline, and so on. In my experience, I'm always forced to put in a destination, but I'm free and not tied anywhere, and I would like to see options.

Could it be that I've overlooked a feature like this in my searches? 😬

https://www.kayak.com/direct

the closest I’ve come to a site that can do something similar is Kayak’s direct, link above.  Put in your starting point and it tells you all direct flight locations out of that airport; who flys and when;  click on the day of the week you want to leave that they offer and it provides you flight costs.

It will ask to enter destination but will give results all over the world if left blank.

Wow. I never knew you could leave the destination blank. Thanks!
