I just watched this intense, disturbing new Netflix series called “Baby Reindeer.” It follows the true story of a young writer / comic named Richard Gadd who faces a stalker. The show is gripping and deals with the fear and psychological impact of being stalked, but it goes even deeper into other intense and complex issues. The performances are top-notch, and the series really keeps you hooked from start to finish. Parts are very hard to watch. Still chewing on the ending. Let me know what you think if you watch it!

At first I wasn't sure if I'd stick with it after the first two eps, as I didn't find any of the characters anyone I could root for and empathize with. But everyone told me to stick to it, and I'm glad I did. I enjoyed it very much. I thought the ending was very good.

It's unusual to see a series that depicts various kinds of assault as the horrendous events they are and yet includes ways in which the victim is complicit. All of these people want something and all are willing to go to extreme lengths to try to get it.
It kept me interested.
