Since the last thread of this has been archived, I wanted to update on my recent trip. I was there for 3 weeks and the amount of massages I got...one week I had 4 LOL.

I had a few rules: Under $20, wanted to be naked for the massage and needed to be a male masseur. If it happened to be at a gay spa then that was just a perk!

Urus Makati  My Recommendation!

Close to Makati/Manila which was great for me since I was staying there! What is different about this spa from the others on the list is this is acutally a gay bathouse with play areas, so it is encouraged. I got two massage here. The first one was so-so, but my last one here was a legit professional style massage, I could tell by their technique. There are signs all around for no "extra service" but I was offered about 50% of the time. You even fill out a slip at the end, and it asks if they asked for "Extra Service" just put 'No' so no one gets in trouble. Check their Twitter for deals. I was getting a massage and club entrance for $15. Large crowd, some foreigners, bar inside the spa, theme nights and everything was nice and hot!

Infinity Spa - Bay Area Location
Close to the airport, so if youre staying around there, its a pretty good option. Go on weekdays for deals or check their Twitter. Since it is close to the airport, you will see foreigners. I will say that both at this location and at the South Point location, the massage area is super cold. They blast that AC, and it was hard to relax. Its not labeled as a gay spa but it is men only and people do play in the saunas but are less bold than Urus. Also it didnt matter if you went on the weekend or weekday it was always crowded.

Real Xtreme Touch

Whats nice about this place is that you can choose your masseur while all the others were by chance. This place has been around since 1994, and it shows and some masseurs were younger than the business LOL It is also open 24 hours which I assume that some of them live there. If you didn't choose your masseur before hand, they all come out police lineup style, which is quite awkward for me. There is also no other perks, JUST massage unless you wanna pay more for the shower massage. They did have at home/hotel service, which could be a nice option since you can control the environment vs. going there. I'm only putting this on the list because its the first thing that pops up when you search "gay massage Manila," so it's worth adding to the list.

Naut Thai
I went to this massage place which my straight cousin so I wasnt expecting much but I had a really good legit thai massage and you can choose a male masseur. Quite expensive but its a chain and you can find them at a lot of malls.

There are so many more outside of Manila but the traffic is so bad im glad that Urus was walking distance from me I will miss it dearly LOL

Thanks for sharing. Wish I saw this while I was still in the Philippines. I got a question: How would you describe the guys there?

Did you submit a report about your stay in the Philippines?

I didn't. I was too far from the Gayborhood, so didn't venture out (other than Grindr hookups with mostly foreigners visiting the country) and had nothing to report.

Nice. How would you describe the guys there when it comes to looks (eg, age, physical appearance, etc.)?

Saw the original post right before my trip to Manila, so I did some research (mostly on Twitter and Reddit).  Based on location, I focused on Urus, Infinity (Makati branch), and 27 Shaw.  Some commonalities:

- therapeutic massage as well as intentionally sensual massages (give interesting names like Apollo massage, Explorer massage, tactile massage).
- BDSM sessions with "props" (with names like Artemis massage and Serfdom massage).
- play areas
- much slick advertising on social media, including lots of posts by the (mostly straight) masseurs asking you to book them.
- when calling to make a reservation, you get reminded that all the therapists and clients are male.
- it helps to reserve early as spots fill up quickly.

Based on a trusted source (my gay brother), I did not yet go to Urus because he said the facilities were in bad shape.

I first tried a therapeutic massage at Infinity Spa Makati.  Decent facilities: steam room and dry sauna; no maze or hot tub.  Crowd was on the young side. My masseur arrived late and ended the massage way before the advertised 80 minutes.  Very good massage, nothing sensual, no upselling, no mention of anything extra.  Masseur was pleasant; he reminded me about his tip envelope at the front desk.

I next tried the sensual massage at 27 Shaw, probably the newest and most high end of the gay spas.  Very good facilities.  Larger steam room and sauna compared the Infinity Makati, and a small pool with jets (not really a hot tub ... water was tepid, which was refreshing after the heat treatments.).  Masseur showed up just a few minutes late and introduced himself.  He was very polite and cute.  Massage was indeed sensual, but the masseur kept his clothes on (even wrapped a towel around his hips, over his pants).  Again, the session ended before the advertised time.  No upselling, no requests for tips, no mention of anything extra.

Won't go into details here, but feel free to ask privately.  Might go a couple more times during this trip and try something different.

Update to my post above.

Tried a dry (no oil) Thai massage at Nuat Thai.  They have several branches and quality of the studio and staff can vary.  The branch I tried in Makati was new and clean; lots of attention paid to hygiene.  I was given pants and shirt to wear during my session.  Massage was very professional, legit, and effective.  I was hoping for some of the Thai massage moves where the therapist lifts you off the table, but my therapist was a little gay half my size!  Would repeat if I wanted a purely therapeutic massage.

Returned to Infinity Spa in Makati for a body scrub and a sensual massage.  I had one therapist for both ... not a slim young'un, but a bearish guy around 40.

The scrub was very basic: he rubbed salt on me once, back and front.  No table shower, no soaking tub, no attendant helping me rinse off in the shower next to the treatment room.  Not worth the cost, in my opinion.

The sensual massage was indeed sensual.  It was stimulating, but the therapist kept making sex sounds until I asked him to stop.  There was upselling and after the session he waited for me to return to the room with his cash tip.  I would repeat with another therapist (not this one) just to see how they would do things, and I would be firmer on how much I would be willing to tip.

As with my previous post, if you want details, message me.
