an ongoing issue with both RMs. If I block or am blocked is it too much to ask that the blocked provider or the the provider who has blocked me simply just not show up on the feed? it is 2024 after all.

or you could just set your rentmen and rentmasseur preferences and settings to private (not visible to others) and not have to fret over this blocking thing ever again!

Have you contacted RM support about your question?  I seriously doubt they monitor this board for support requests...

my settings are set to private. but guys i've blocked still pop up. for example. seems a deficit in both RM systems. Blocking by either party should keep the blocked or blocker off the screen of available providers. Seems simple.

I doubt it's a bug. RM isn't a social media site. It wants to show you everyone all the time, even though you've blocked all contact with a provider.

I tend to agree, however the OP perceives it as a bug.  Either way, if the OP hopes RM will change how the site behaves, he should direct his complaint to the people who run the site instead of whinging about it to an audience that has no ability to help him.

Unfortunately, there's no way to do that but once you click on the profile you'll see he blocked you your you blocked him. 

RM is always open to suggestions though, I'm sure some escorts might be interested in not showing up on searches by time wasters, teasers, etc.

My settings are set to private. For some reason unbeknownst to me, a provider blocked me, even though I have never contacted him.
