Surprise ending scene in Saltburn

A movie can't work if you can spot the villain in the first five minutes. Barry's a good actor but too off-center for it to be believable that an entire family would fall for him. 
It could only be directed by an overweight woman. A fantasy of being "the chosen one" despite having no redeeming qualities or looks. 
None of the film was gross or shocking. It was alarmingly asexual.
