I definitely dislike sitting next to heavily overweight people male or female. They always end up taking about half of my seat which I paid for.

Fat guy love is a fetish in most society, I think the only culture which love fat guys are African tribe because it indirectly means they were of higher social status.

Interesting point you make because here obesity is associated with poverty while in developing countries like Brazil is associated with wealth and that has been the case during many centuries in mankind when food was scarce.

In Mexico for example another developing country obesity is associated with poverty because indigenous people have a tendency to be overweight just like here in the USA.

I think in some cases they should be forced to pay two seats

Regardless of the cause(s), the chronically obese have my sympathy.  Life in general must be pure hell when obesity progresses to the level displayed in the above images.
