Tyger: Thanks for your informative post. You make several points that I have never considered. I was stunned to hear you have to spend 6 hrs a day on the computer and another 4 + on the phone to average about one appointment per day (if I interpreted you correctly). It doesn't sound very cost effective.

 

If a propective client is so careless as to give incorrect or complicated contact info - or in some cases, none - I think I would just consider him as a waste of my time and forget it.

sometimes ill get emails at odd times and wont respond. I got an email last night at 10:30 from a guy in town for last night only wanting a massage that night.. I was in bed at 10:30 last night and didnt see the email until 8am this morning.. so no point in responding

I can understand why you thought there was no point in replying - but - perhaps you sould have sent him a quick e-mail explaining why you were unavailable last night. Without that, the prospective client might just write you off as another undependable guy who doesn't bother returning e-mails.

 

You never know if he might be back in town at a later date. It would be a shame for him to write you off when perhaps a profitable contact could exist. Also he might have friends who want a massage... so you never know.

On a recent trip, I left something like five voicemails for escorts and not one of them called back before I left town. But a few days after I got home, one of them called back SPECIFICALLY to apologize for not changing his voicemail announcement to say that he was going to be out of town.

 

I was so stunned I hardly knew what to say, but we chatted for a bit and I made a promise to call him on my next visit! I won't even bother with the others.

As many of you know, I call escorting a service industry, and being such if an escort makes an added effort it will pay off. People recognize sincerity and the personal touch, and that all starts at the very beginning with the first contact, whether it be email or phone call. It recognize that it can be hard for escorts who get tons of emails a day, with a bunch of them being nothing more than window shoppers or nut cases. I had to deal with those same kind of people when I sold automotive parts, granted none of them wanted to hop in the sack with me, at least none that I know of.

But what I am saying is that a little effort goes a long way, and its this little bit of extra effort that separates excellent escorts from just average escorts.

Ya... but keep in mind... you can't really just forget tem and chock people up as a waste of time.... Peopleare rarely satisfied with one email from you saying, "Hey Great! Let's meet! What time?" Sometimes people are new to this. They have questions. Soemtimes people are not and liek to hear from you often. Some peole interview you and that may require several hours on the phone over a series of phone calls. Sometimes they are in sensative professions and there is this ongoing trust building situation.... then there is the factor that a percentage of Clients cancel and for rael reasons, sickness, death in Family, missed flight, all of the erasons you can imagine. Client reliablitiy does not approximate 100% by any means. Real life comse into play~ This isn't your average job.

Escorting has taken on a new phase of existance... 10 years ago and certainly 20 years ago it was different... less internet and less Global... more regional perhaps and more home based. it's a new ball game so to speak, (tongue in cheek), where we are just now learnign the rules of appropriateness as Escorts and Clients!

Ummm.... you would NOT want to hear about the clients who don't call back when you are there and ready, go off to lunch with Friends without telling you, have gotten a hotel for and then don;t show up or call, traveled to a city and Clients simply to not respondthough they called you out there, don't leave call back numbers or are unknown/private numbers you can not redial back and don't leave a number, write to you and leave the wrong email address or wrong number~ These things happen!
