Ya... I had to go pick up one of my checks from filming with a studio. The guy holdnig my check for me was trying to locate a set for a different movie and told me to meet him at this bath house in LA to pick up my check. It was a place that was convenient and close for both of us that day. I met him at this bath house and could not help but notice all of the public health warnings posted all over the walls... Some strain of ecoli bacteria that is resistant to antibiotics so you are not supposed to walk around in bare feet, some stronger, resistant strain of Ghonnorhea and also an up swing on the inccidence of Syphyllis. I imagine that if it is not safe to walk around in bare feet it is most likely not particularly advisable to walk around bare assed and make any suface contact with anything there.

The staff,(not to be confused with staph...) was quite friendly but quite frankly... I was happy to turnj down a free pass, get my check and leave quickly... The studio decided not to film there either... They recreated the bath house setting in a studio instead.

If you do go to these bath house settings be sure to purchase a large quantity of Quell lotion or pyrythrines for the crabs~

I used to work for University of Wisconsin Madison Hospital doing cancer research and working part time in the STD clinic... one time I was part od a research study team and we went around to the bookstores there with what is known as a "Hoods" lamp" and a "black light"... we went into the booths and turned on the lamps... it makes all the nasties, cum, bacteria, fungus, bugs flouresce... You turn the light on so you can see everything. Then we took scapings and innoculated culture plates and slides to see what was there and viable. YYYYYYYYYYYyyyyyyuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuukkkkkkk!!!!!!! It's Alive! Alive!!!! (Quote from the movie Frankenstein)

Oh That's right! Wood's lamp... we did work with bugs though under the hood... Funny how my professions always seem to have those two elements in the,,, only now hoods and wood refer to something completely different... it's Clients I put under the hood, ( a black one that laces up the back) and while my wood has a vibrant glow of it's own... it doesn't require batteries! Wink!
