Editing Previous Posts

Can anyone share with me whether or not it's possible to edit and/or delete previous posts?  Currently, I see no option for either.

As part of our strategy of managing spammers, new accounts can’t edit posts. Once an account is no longer considered new, posts can be edited for 24 hours.

This depends on the level of activity on the site and of the reputation of the IP address/email used during registration.  

I dynamically score risk based on several factors that can adjust the length of time before a member automatically promotes out of the Newbie group.
