I don’t top as much as I used to, mostly because I don’t get as much pleasure when I’m wearing a condom - even the sheer ones. It’s not that big of a deal, because there are plenty of other things I enjoy doing.

I use the female condom occasionally and carry a few in my bag. If you have never used one before, you might want to practice on your own. I remember it was awkward putting it the first time, but the feeling is great. I like the feeling better when I top too.

 

In my experience it's not a common client request, because the suggestion was coming from me. Several guys have never heard of it before, some have heard but never tried it, but they were all game ... :9

Since no one else has asked, I must be one of the few naifs out here who doesn't know what a female condom is. Based on Lookin's statement suggesting it's the bottom who wears it, I've ruled out the ribbed condoms designed to enhance a woman's pleasure. Adding to my confusion are Steven's remarks about practicing with one on your own and awkwardness in putting it on. So, what is it? Am I missing something?

Since they're polyurethane, they conduct heat better than latex and don't require water-based lubes. They are reported to be the closest thing to fucking without condoms there is (except of course actually fucking without condoms).

I’m no expert, since I just saw one for the first time last week. It’s bigger than a male condom, with a ring on either end. One end is closed, and one end is open, just like a regular condom. The bottom inserts the closed end up his rectum, and the open end sticks out about an inch or so. The ring on the closed end makes it easy for the bottom to guide it inside his rectum, and the ring on the outside keeps the condom from going all the way in. The inside of the condom is already lubricated.

All the top needs to do is enter through the outside ring. He does not need to wear a male condom of his own. It looks a little strange, but it felt great to me. According to the guy I was with, it felt great to him too.

 

I think Steven was suggesting that I also try one as a bottom, so I would know what it felt like for my partner. Sounds like a good idea to me!

It was one of your recent posts that got me thinking about this in the first place. Then when an escort offered to bottom with one last week, I found out how great they are. I had just never had an escort suggest it before, and I wouldn't have thought to request it.

I believe that clients are not aware that this type of condom exists. For one thing, if you go to a drug store to buy condoms, it is very likely that they don't carry it. If you don't know about it, how can you ask for it?

Part of the problem getting porn producers to use them might be cost. A three-pack costs $9, where a dozen Magnums is only $10.

 

The cost is an even larger factor when you consider the porn producers often use donated product, or stuff that's part of a marketing tie-in.

Thanks, but if that's true, then I rarely get a chance to practice my craft. :o Most of the time, I'm in top or oral or manual mode. I know the ass pic (and the ass itself) is famous, but it's misleading to think that I'm "super-bottom." It's funny...I've posted that Derek and I don't drink or do drugs, and as a result, people assume that that means that we are in recovery, but the fact is we just never got into substances, not even in college, when you're supposed to. But people read posts or see photos and make their own assumptions. I'm not complaining...I just think it's funny how things get (mis)interpreted.

Actually, the first time I used the female condom as a bottom was with the infamous escort Jean-Claude in NYC who is known for his beer can thickness. The magnum was too tight for him ...

The last time I checked there was still a lot of unresolved issues surrounding the condom. Mostly questions about how well the condom protects against STD's. Does anyone know if these have been resolved? What the possible risk is?
