Sigh, finally went to Sebastian after the rave reviews. The massage itself was the best I’d ever had, but I was surprised at how lackluster everything else was. I wouldn’t say there was actually a negotiation, but I didn’t love how he handled it and was surprised since he seems to be the crowd favorite. 
 

I’ve been going to Timmy at TSMS and he gives a solid massage with passion for me personally, but I like the HK/27 facilities so much more. Any other recs there?

I just called and asked and they said Jay which makes sense since he was on the schedule the night I saw him but Niel wasn’t.

Jay is fantastic - best massage I've had at 27. He's super sweet and sexy and gives an amazing Thai style massage.

Agree here. Kinda lacked energy but it was end of night. Who knows. Probs not a chemistry match for me. Going to have to try Timmy.

Yes, it's Jay. Just had massage with him recently. Excellent massage with a nice ending for a "set fee" of $150 (i.e. his tip). Definitely worth it.

I've been to HK Men Spa several times, and service has ranged from mediocre to spectacular. But I never went with the benefit of this thread. I'm very grateful. Now I know schedules are posted, and that you can request specific masseurs. I've only ever called for an appointment and taken who was available. 

But after reading the thread, I'm wondering what the best way to get "maximum" service. I usually go for the massage, then pay afterwards and give a 20-25% tip. Should I ask for anything at the desk? Or once the masseur is in the room? Should I tip upfront, and what amount is appropriate?

I had one guy last week who was phenomenal, and he guided my own hands to places I would have been way too shy to go without his gestures. If from the get-go I knew that was possible, I'd have loved it. So if you have tips for etiquette to get supreme service, I'd love to know.

Lol forgive my confusion because that’s a 200% tip - that’d be a huge no for me. Haven’t come across one masseur in the city that’s required a tip that large for a HE, unless more was included? 
 

$150 would be even high for massage and tip

Without getting anyone or any establishment in too much trouble, I felt it was worth the price. A 50% tip doesn’t get much these days. I usually start at 100% for “regular” good service (at spas only though). I’ve given 200% for excellent service several times.

I'm the same. I tip either when the massage is finished or more commonly when I pay and am leaving.

I pay at the end when I’m leaving. I’m not just tipping for that day. A good tip can open up opportunities during future sessions. If I give less than 100%, I’m probably not returning at all. A 100% tip the first time can lead to more extras and an even higher tip during future visits. Well worth it in my opinion.

I tried him. He's not a pro but he did a better job than what I expected! He hit most of the knots on my back and traps. I had to guide him when he was pressing too hard on sensitive areas. (Which is a better problem than not pressing hard enough IMO). The extras department was standard though. All around a nice guy. For my taste though, in order me to repeat , I'd rather get either a superb massage or superb extras.

Good grief people. 15 minute "privates" with Gaiety dancers were 150 bucks a quarter century ago. It's far from extravagant for a 1-hour massage.  You don't tip a restaurant percentage for the kind of "service" you're expecting.

Yeah, I liked Jay, but if he’s expecting $150, not gonna go see him anymore. His massage is good, but not that good. He is hot though
