It’s bad..

I sped it up to 1.5X playback speed and it was still painfully slow.
Beyond the shock factor (which over 30 years later isn’t really there)
it’s just a ridiculously boring story. Loaner freak lures men to his home,
drugs them, strangles them, dismembers them, eats them. Repeat.

There’s just not a lot of "plot" to develop there.

Did I mention it was s-l-o-w….and b-o-r-I-n-g?

Not amazing, but it was okay. I think it’s still worth a watch if for no other reason than to show why he was able to get away with it for so long, and it tells the stories of his victims and the witnesses.

Watched the first two episodes.   I'll probably watch the rest of them eventually but not something I'd binge watch.

Kind of weird the first episode is when he got caught.

The second episode was really scary that the police allowed an obviously drugged kid that was 14 that didn't look 19 to go back to his apartment with him and that they didn't investigate the smell.

I've had interest in this story since I was only around 23 or 24 when he finally got busted and use to go to Carol's a lot when I was younger and that's where he picked up a lot of his chicago victims.

Not only that, but the boy was bleeding, drugged, and obviously underage  according to the neighbors who called the police, and the police escorted the boy back to Dahmer where Dahmer went on to kill him shortly after. And those cops were never held accountable. Absolutely Infuriating!

I heard the cops got fired years later after Dahlmer got arrested.   He should have been taken to the ER being in that condition and even if he was just drunk and 19 Dahlmer was guilty of serving alcohol to an underage kid.   Wouldn't surprise me if the cops were homophobic, if that would have been a girl instead of a guy Dahlmer would have been arrested on the spot and the girl would have been taken to the ER.   Pisses me off how many lives were lost due to those two cops

The cops (John Balcerzak and  Joseph Gabrish) eventually did get fired for negligence, but they appealed their firing, and then Judge Robert Parins reinstated the 2 cops in 1994 because he felt that firing them was “too harsh” of a punishment, so they were rehired AND given a year’s salary in back pay. $55,000 each.  Balcerzak eventually became president of the Milwaukee Police Association and eventually retired in 2017….…sooo…no…there were no real consequences for them at all. At a minimum, they should never have been able to be police officers ever again. That boy (Konerak)  would still be alive if they hadn’t returned him to Dahmer.

I didn't know they got reinstated.   Unbelievable    And they got back pay yet?

They should have been banned from ever being cops again and how could have the police union elected him president.

The family should have sued, I can't imagine a jury not giving them a multimillion verdict.

IIRC, he was one of Dahlmers first victims so not only would he still be alive today so would all his other victims he killed after that.
