Massages stopped being something exciting…

Interesting thread....I thought it was just me.  The market is definitely not what it used to be a couple of years ago.  I've wasted more money on so-so massages over the past few years than I can count.  I've pretty much stopped seeing many of the traveling masseurs or "new" unverified guys as the massage is invariably week and turns into a modified escort session.  I have met a few decent guys, but it's really 1 in 8 at this point.  I guess it's a sign of the times.  I've decided (big head thinking) to limit my time/money to a few regulars who can actually massage and limit my exposure to others (smaller head thinking) when I'm looking for more of a hook up experience with a hot guy.

How do they do that?  I don't understand how a nice swedish massage with moderate pressure is going to do anything but relax you and make you feel good.  

 

I was going to book with a guy who had emailed me several times from rentmasseur.  I told him I wanted a therapeutic massage - which he advertised that he provided.  He told me that he wasn't really very good at therapeutic - that his expertise was mostly sensual/erotic.  Recommended that I find another guy.

I live in NYC- and I agree - it’s no longer as fun as it use to be. Maybe I’ve been spoiled by a past experiences that went above and beyond, so when it doesn’t go there, it’s harder for me to finish now. I took a 3 month break bc of Mpox - and just started back today and it was so much of a let down, I knew I should’ve listened to my instincts and not wasted the money. It started off great;  then I could tell he was just trying to ‘finish the session’ but Jack rabbiting me which makes it much harder for me to ‘finish’- so in the end I just said I’m good, thx.

You guys are such buzz kills! I’ve had so few massages since March of 2020 that I get a stiffy on first touch. And now that I’m fully vaxed across the potpourri of possible scourges, I’m enjoying reconnecting with old regulars and chasing new therasensuotic massage adventures.

Agree! Sure there’s the occasional frog but the last four massages I’ve had have been great. All reasonably skilled at massage, no rush to finish, not an “escort” experience, and all actually continued the massage after the HE. Prices are definitely higher since pre pandemic, but everything is more expensive.

I guess it's the same everywhere... I live in Miami and I travel quite often to NYC, Brazil and Mexico for work. Some of my most recent experiences:

- Mexico: there's this guy who's an excellent masseur (prob one of the best I've ever had) and he used to come to my hotel room. He's always been very professional, but occasionally he would at least let his arm rub against my dick or something like that. I would always get very hard, but he would never do anything else. I was honestly fine with that because the whole experience always felt so good! Last time I went, he asked me to go to the new studio he's been working at. It was a 2-hour massage (great btw) but zero sensuality.

- I had this guy in Miami who was an excellent masseur and we would have a lot of fun together during the massage. Unfortunately he moved to Colombia. Another guy I used to go to just told me he's also moving early next year. There's a new one I tried recently who was a decent masseur and we did a few other things... but he had to take a shower once things got going because he hadn't showered yet, which was a bit of a buzz kill.

 

Anyway, I'll be in NYC next week, if anyone has a good recommendation please let me know!
